CMAT Application Form 2027: Form Filling Dates, Last Date, Fees, Documents and How to Fill

Before you begin filling the CMAT 2027 application form, here is a quick snapshot of the essentials. Details marked "expected" are based on the official CMAT 2026 Information Bulletin and will be confirmed when NTA releases the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin.

NTA has not yet announced the CMAT form date 2027 and last date. It will publish them along with the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin on cmat.nta.nic.in. Based on last year's schedule and the proposed exam date of February 7, 2027, the CMAT form filling date 2027 is expected to begin in October 2026, and the CMAT form last date is expected in the last week of November or the first week of December 2026. If NTA keeps last year's gap of 62 days between the form last date and the exam, the CMAT last date to apply 2027 would fall around the first week of December 2026. What last year's CMAT exam schedule tells you: The CMAT 2026 application window was open for 39 days including the one-week extension, the correction window for only three days, and there was a gap of 62 days between the form last date and the exam. With CMAT 2027 proposed for February 7, 2027, which falls 13 days later in the calendar than last year's January 25 exam, the CMAT 2027 form fill up date window may also run slightly later. Candidates can treat last year's dates as estimates until NTA confirms the CMAT exam form date 2027, but should not wait for the last date to apply.

The CMAT application fee 2027 is expected to remain category-wise and gender-wise, in line with the official CMAT 2026 fee structure. Only General (UR) male candidates pay the full fee of ₹2,500; every other candidate pays ₹1,250. The CMAT exam form fees can be paid only online, and applicable bank service/processing charges and GST are payable by the candidate over and above the examination fee.

CMAT Form Fees Payment Modes and Bank Charges
NTA collects the CMAT exam fee through two payment gateways, State Bank of India (SBI) and Canara Bank. The processing charges below are from the CMAT 2026 Information Bulletin and are charged in addition to the CMAT form fee. This table will be updated when details of the CMAT 2027 form fees payment process are released.

UPI carries no processing charge through either gateway, and debit cards carry no charge through the SBI gateway. Paying by UPI is the simplest way to avoid extra charges on your CMAT form fees.

NTA advises candidates to download the Information Bulletin and confirm their eligibility before filling the CMAT Application Form 2027. Based on the CMAT 2026 Information Bulletin, the CMAT 2027 eligibility criteria are expected to be as follows:

• The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Candidates in the final year of a bachelor's degree, whose result will be declared before the start of admission for academic year 2027-28, can also apply.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India
• There is no age limit for appearing in CMAT.

Two points are worth noting. First, NTA does not verify the information you enter at the time of registration, so your candidature remains provisional until your eligibility is checked as per AICTE norms. Second, NTA asks candidates to ensure that their degree is recognised as per AICTE provisions; if it is found at any stage that the degree is not recognised, the candidature or result will be cancelled. Keep the following documents and details ready before you start filling the CMAT 2027 application form. Having them at hand will help you complete the form in one sitting without errors.

• Your own valid email ID and mobile number, as NTA sends all important updates by email and SMS.
• Government ID details, such as Aadhaar number (last four digits), Election Card (EPIC) number, passport number, ration card number, bank account number, PAN or any other valid government ID.
• Date of birth exactly as mentioned in your Class X certificate, and your bachelor's degree details.
• Scanned photograph, signature and certificates in the formats and sizes given below.
• Four preferred exam cities and a debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI account for fee payment.

The CMAT application form can be filled only online on cmat.nta.nic.in, within the CMAT 2027 form fill up date window announced by NTA. The process has four steps. You can complete all of them together or at separate times, but your application is considered successful only after NTA receives your fee and the confirmation page is generated.

Step 1: Register on cmat.nta.nic.in

1. Visit cmat.nta.nic.in and click the CMAT 2027 registration link.
2. Click "New Registration" under "Register yourself for the above-mentioned examination".
3. Read the instructions carefully and tick the undertaking confirming that you have downloaded and read the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin.
4. Enter your personal details, contact details and address, and submit them.
5. Create a password, choose a security question and enter its answer.
6. Verify your mobile number with the OTP sent by SMS.
7. Note down the system-generated Application Number. You will need it, along with your password, for every future login and for all correspondence with NTA.

Step 2: Fill the CMAT 2027 Application Form
Log in with your Application Number and password, and enter the security PIN shown on the screen. Then complete the remaining sections of the form: personal details, educational qualification, choice of four exam cities, and upload of your photograph, signature and other documents (if applicable). Check every page before you move ahead, because NTA treats these details as final.

Step 3: Pay the CMAT Exam Form Fees
After completing Steps 1 and 2, pay the CMAT application fee online through net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI. Choose the SBI or Canara Bank gateway, complete the payment and wait for the payment status to show "OK". Complete the payment before the CMAT form fees last date, which was one day after the registration last date in 2026. Do not close the browser window while the transaction is in progress.

Step 4: Download the CMAT Confirmation Page
The confirmation page is generated only after your fee payment is successful. Download it, save a copy and take a printout for future reference. You do not need to send the confirmation page or any other document to NTA by post, fax, WhatsApp, email or by hand.

The table below shows the main sections of the CMAT 2027 application form and the details each section asks for. Fill each field exactly as it appears in your official documents.

NTA treats the name, contact details, address, category, gender, PwD/PwBD status, educational qualification, date of birth and choice of exam cities entered in the form as final. Outside the official correction window, requests to change these particulars are not entertained.

Selecting Your Category Correctly

Your category decides both your fee and your reservation benefits, so select it carefully in the CMAT Application Form 2027.

• OBC-NCL: Select OBC only if your caste is in the Central List of Other Backward Classes published by the National Commission for Backward Classes (ncbc.nic.in) and you belong to the non-creamy layer. Candidates from a State-list OBC that is not in the Central List must choose General.
• Gen-EWS: Eligibility follows the Government of India's EWS orders cited in the Information Bulletin.
• PwD/PwBD: NTA does not guarantee any change in category or PwD/PwBD status after the form is submitted, and no change is entertained after the CMAT score is declared.
• Reservation benefits are given subject to verification of documents at the admission stage.

Photograph and Signature Guidelines for CMAT Form
Photograph and signature errors are among the most common reasons for rejection of a CMAT 2027 application form. Follow these guidelines carefully:

• Upload a recent passport-size photograph, in colour or black and white, with 80% of your face (without mask) visible, including ears, against a white background.
• Do not wear a cap or goggles in the photograph. Spectacles are allowed if you wear them regularly.
• Polaroid and computer-generated photographs are not acceptable. The photograph need not be attested.
• Sign on white paper with a blue or black ink pen, and scan the signature in JPG/JPEG format between 10 KB and 50 KB.
• If the photograph or signature is blurred or does not clearly identify the candidate, the application will be rejected and no option for correction will be allowed.
• Upload only your own photograph and signature. Uploading someone else's photograph, signature or certificate is treated as an Unfair Means practice.
• Keep a few printed copies of the same photograph. You will need one to paste on the attendance sheet at the exam centre.
   

While filling the CMAT Application Form 2027, you must select four exam cities in order of preference. NTA makes every effort to allot one of these cities, but it may allot a different city for administrative or logistical reasons, and it may merge cities that have very few candidates. NTA's decision on city and centre allotment is final.

The CMAT 2026 Information Bulletin listed 131 exam cities across the country, with Maharashtra alone accounting for 22 of them. The exam was finally conducted in 110 cities at 259 exam centres on January 25, 2026. NTA advises candidates to choose their own city or neighbouring cities in their state of residence, and not distant cities in other states, because it will not be responsible for inconvenience caused by an incorrect selection.

Last year, NTA released the advance exam city intimation slip on January 16, 2026, nine days before the exam. Remember that the city intimation slip is not your admit card. Check the complete list of CMAT exam cities.

NTA opens a short online correction window after the form last date, during which candidates can correct particulars in their submitted CMAT Application Form 2027. Last year, the CMAT 2026 correction window was open from November 26 to 28, 2025, which was just three days. The CMAT 2027 correction window is expected in late November or December 2026.

Corrections can be made only online. NTA does not entertain correction requests sent by post, fax, WhatsApp, email or by hand. The fields that can be edited will be specified by NTA in its correction notice.

How to Make Corrections in CMAT Form
1.    Visit cmat.nta.nic.in during the correction window.
2.    Log in with your Application Number and password.
3.    Open your CMAT Application Form 2027 and make the required corrections.
4.    Review every detail again and submit the corrected form.
5.    Download the updated confirmation page and keep a printout.

A small error in the CMAT Application Form 2027 can cost you the exam. Avoid these mistakes:

1. Submitting more than one form. Multiple forms lead to cancellation of the result, and more than one Application Number is treated as Unfair Means.
2. Using a mobile number or email ID you cannot access. One mobile number and email ID can be used for only one form.
3. Selecting the wrong category, especially OBC-NCL.
4. Uploading a blurred photograph or signature, which leads to rejection with no chance of correction.
5. Leaving the fee unpaid. Candidature is confirmed only after NTA receives the fee.
6. Waiting for the CMAT exam form last date 2027. The correction window is only a few days long, so leave time to spot and fix errors.
7. Not saving your Application Number, password and confirmation page, which you will need for the admit card and scorecard.

CMAT registrations fell sharply in 2026. According to NTA's Press Release of February 17, 2026, 53,453 candidates registered for CMAT 2026 and 41,872 appeared, an attendance of 78.33%. Registrations declined by 27.8% from 74,012 in CMAT 2025, the sharpest year-on-year fall in five years. Key takeaways from the CMAT 2026 data:

• Women made up nearly half of CMAT 2026 applicants: 25,513 of 53,453, or 47.7%. Their share among those who appeared was almost identical at 47.5%.
• General category candidates accounted for 26,970 registrations (50.5%), followed by OBC-NCL (15,396), Gen-EWS (6,767), SC (3,380) and ST (940). PwD/PwBD candidates numbered 146 across all categories.
• About one in five registered candidates (11,581, or 21.7%) did not appear for the exam. Once you submit the CMAT Application Form 2027, plan your preparation so that your application fee and effort are not wasted.
