Shri Anil Shastri, a former Union Minister, is the Chairman of the LBSIM Board of Governors. Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Gupta is the Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), New Delhi.
Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Gupta is the Director of LBSIM Delhi and a Professor of Marketing & Strategy. Prof. Gupta holds a PhD in Management from the University of Rajasthan, an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, and an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Delhi. The Director's B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics is from Hindu College. Prof. Gupta has more than 35 years of experience across academia, administration and industry, including 20 years in the oil and gas industry. At LBSIM, Prof. Gupta earlier served as Head of Placements and as Convener for NBA accreditation. The Director's research interests include brand management, CRM, business marketing, supply chain, marketing in emerging economies, leadership, entrepreneurship and strategy. Prof. Gupta has conducted management development programmes for HPCL, GAIL, BHEL, EIL, IOCL and Maruti Suzuki.
