XIMB Overview: The Legacy and Location Advantage
XIMB is one of India's leading private B-schools: its MBA-BM is accredited by NBA for six years and by SAQS, and it is ranked 19th in the MBAUniverse.com B-School Ranking 2026. Applications are open on the common XIM University application form, and the XIMB last date to apply is December 15, 2026. One form covers the MBA-BM, the Executive MBA-BM and six other XIM University programmes.

XIMB MBA Courses and Fees 2027
XIMB offers two MBA programmes for 2027, the two-year MBA in Business Management (MBA-BM) and the one-year Executive MBA-BM, and XIMB Bhubaneswar courses also include a Ph.D programme.

• XIMB MBA-BM: a fully residential programme of 105 credits (66 core and at least 39 elective), with three terms a year, about 60 electives, an eight-week summer internship and student exchange links with the University of Antwerp and the Warsaw School of Economics. • XIMB Executive MBA-BM: a one-year, full-time programme of 96 credits for executives with at least three years of experience (five if self-employed), with employer sponsorship or a no objection certificate. XIMB Executive MBA 2027

The XIMB MBA fees for the MBA-BM Batch 2026-28 were Rs 23.00 lakh in course fee (Rs 11.50 lakh a year), and the listed charges, including the development fund, course materials, IT, alumni, career services and a refundable deposit, totalled Rs 26.00 lakh, as per the official XIM University Admission Bulletin 2026. The Executive MBA-BM course fee was Rs 14.00 lakh, with total listed charges of Rs 15.50 lakh. The Batch 2027-29 fee will be published soon.

• Hostel and board: hostel stay is compulsory for MBA-BM students; room rent for the 2026 intake ranged from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,40,000 a year, plus a Rs 20,000 administration fee and board of about Rs 8,000 a month.

• Education loans: nationalised banks such as SBI offer study loans to XIM University students.

XIMB and XIM University 
XIMB is the flagship school of XIM University, a private university set up under the Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013, and XIM University awards the XIMB MBA-BM degree. The university has twelve schools: XIMB runs the MBA-BM and the Executive MBA-BM at the Old Campus, while other schools run six more management programmes at the New Campus at Harirajpur, 22 km away.

Aspirants can apply to XIMB and to these XIM University programmes on the same common application form, by the same last date of December 15, 2026:

• MBA-Human Resource Management (MBA-HRM): School of Human Resource Management; it continues the PGDM-HRM that XIMB offered before the university was formed. XIM University MBA-HRM

Unlike the XIMB MBA-BM, these programmes also accept other exam scores like NMAT 2026, and rank holders (1st, 2nd or 3rd in their undergraduate programme) can apply to MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-UMG, MBA-PPM and MMS-BF without a test score. XIMB MBA Placements 
XIMB Placements 2025 for the MBA-BM Batch 2023-25 recorded an average CTC of Rs 18.25 LPA, a median of Rs 17.82 LPA and a highest domestic CTC of Rs 32.8 LPA, with 101 recruiters, 49 of them new, for a batch of 372 students, as per the institute's Xuberance'25 final placement report. XIMB announced 100% summer placements for the MBA-BM Batch 2025-27 in April 2026. Placements are run by Career Advisory Services, a student committee active for more than 35 years.

XIMB Placement 2025 Highlights (Batch 2023-25)

Marketing took the largest share of offers, while Operations recorded the highest stream average CTC. By sector, BFSI led with 25% of offers, followed by consulting with 24%, IT and ITES with 22%, manufacturing with 17% and FMCG and FMCD with 12%. Top recruiters in 2025 are listed below by sector. XIMB Admission Criteria and Eligibility 2027
The XIMB admission criteria for XIMB MBA Admission 2027 start with a bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline, with at least 55% aggregate marks, and a valid XAT, CAT, GMAT or XGMT score.

XIMB Eligibility 2027: MBA-BM vs Executive MBA-BM

• Final-year students: must complete their final examinations and all degree requirements by June 15, 2027, and the PG FAQ asks for final results by September 30, 2027.

• Provisional offers: offers to selected and waitlisted candidates are provisional, and admission can be cancelled at any stage if a candidate is found ineligible.

XIMB Admission 2027: XAT Cut Off and Entrance Exam
XIMB Admission 2027 accepts four tests, XAT 2027, CAT 2026, GMAT (taken in 2025 or 2026) and XGMT 2027, and candidates must take at least one, as per the official application instructions. The XIMB entrance exam 2027 can be any of these, and candidates may apply through more than one test.

XIMB Entrance Exams Accepted 2027

Does XIMB accept NMAT scores? No. NMAT 2026 is accepted only for the other XIM University MBA programmes, not for the XIMB MBA-BM, so NMAT scores cannot be used for XIMB. Registration for XAT, CAT or GMAT with the test body is a prerequisite for applying through that test.

On the XIMB cut off 2027, XIMB announces sectional and total cut-offs for each test on its website in the first week of February. Going by past trends, the expected XIMB cut off 2027 is 93 to 95 percentile for both CAT and XAT (to be confirmed). XIMB XGMT 2027: Test Date, Fee and Format

XGMT 2027, the XIM General Management Test, is XIM University's own online admission test, and XIMB accepts it for the MBA-BM alongside XAT, CAT and GMAT. Key facts, as per the official application instructions:

• Date and time: Sunday, January 17, 2027, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

• Fee: Rs 1,650, plus payment gateway charges and taxes. There is no separate XGMT form; choosing XGMT in the application form registers you for it.

• Format: online multiple-choice questions on quantitative ability, verbal and logical reasoning, data interpretation, general awareness and emotional quotient.

• Cities: 17 test cities across India; candidates choose up to three and take the test in the city allotted.

XIMB Selection Process 2027: GD, WAT and PI

The XIMB selection process for 2027 has three stages: shortlisting on admission test performance, with sectional and total cut-offs; a Group Discussion (GD), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI); and the final selection. As part of the XIMB admission process, the final selection weighs the test score, the interview, past academic record and relevant work experience.

If held offline, the GD, WAT and PI rounds take place in 12 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Patna. Candidates choose up to three cities, attend in the city allotted and bear their own travel and stay costs. XIMB has not published the weightage of each selection component for 2027.

XIMB MBA Admission 2027: How to Get Admission in XIMB
The XIMB admission process 2027 runs in six steps, and the same steps apply to XIMB Bhubaneswar Admission 2027 for the MBA-BM and the Executive MBA-BM:

1. Take an admission test: register for XAT 2027, CAT 2026 or GMAT with the test body, or choose XGMT 2027 in the XIM University form.

2. Fill the XIMB admission form: apply on the common XIM University application form and pay the fee by December 15, 2026. Apply now.

3. Write the test: CAT on November 29, 2026, XAT on January 3, 2027 or XGMT on January 17, 2027.

4. Shortlisting: XIMB shortlists on test performance, and cut-offs are announced in the first week of February 2027.

5. GD, WAT and PI: shortlisted candidates attend the rounds in one of 12 cities; the schedule is shared by email and on the university website.

6. Final result: the XIMB admission result 2027 lists selected and waitlisted candidates with provisional offers, and the MBA-BM is expected to begin in June 2027.

The XIMB application form 2027 is filled online on the XIM University application portal, and one form covers the MBA-BM, the Executive MBA-BM and other XIM University programmes and tests. Here is how to complete the XIMB registration and login, and fill the form:

1. Register on the XIMB admission portal: open the official XIM University application form link on this page, go to New User, enter your basic details and receive your XU ID (login ID) and password by email.

2. Log in and fill the form: use your XU ID to add personal details, education, work experience (if any), programmes, test options and a Statement of Purpose. The SoP is used in later selection, so write it with care.

3. Upload photograph and signature: a JPEG photograph of 50 KB to 100 KB, and a JPEG signature 280 to 840 px wide, 120 to 360 px high and 3 KB to 40 KB.

4. Pay the fee: pay online through the secure payment gateway (Table 7).

5. Check your email: a confirmation email follows once the form and the payment are complete.

The XIMB application form fee depends on how many programme or test options you choose, as per the official instructions.
