You must carry a printed A4 copy of the CMAT Admit Card and a valid ID. Acceptable photo identification includes an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License, provided the candidate's photograph and signature images are legibly printed.

The entry gates at CMAT test centres will close strictly at 08:30 A.M. sharp. No candidate is permitted to enter the examination hall after this time, which is exactly 30 minutes before the 09:00 A.M. commencement of the computer-based test.

Candidates must arrive at the examination centre by 07:00 A.M. for the morning shift. The official reporting time is set two hours prior to the exam start, ensuring sufficient time for mandatory biometric verification and frisking procedures before the gates close.

The CMAT 2026 exam will be held on January 25, 2026, in a single shift. According to the NTA public notice, the test is scheduled from 09:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., marking a major shift from previous years' two-session format.

The CMAT 2026 syllabus is divided into five mandatory sections with 20 questions each. These sections cover Language Comprehension, Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and the specialized Innovation and Entrepreneurship segment.

Candidates receive four marks for correct answers, while one mark is deducted for incorrect responses. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions across five sections, totaling 400 marks, with no marks awarded or deducted for un-attempted questions.
