The CMAT reasoning syllabus covers both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Topics include arrangements, blood relations, direction and distance, coding-decoding, number series, analogies, statements and assumptions, and cause and effect. In CMAT 2026, 16 of the 20 Logical Reasoning questions were non-verbal and 4 were verbal, and all were standalone questions.

The CMAT GK syllabus covers static GK and current affairs. Topics include Indian history, polity and the Constitution, geography, science, sports, awards, books and authors, important personalities, government schemes and the economy. In CMAT 2026, 19 of the 20 General Awareness questions were on static GK, and only one was on current affairs.

The CMAT syllabus is not expected to change in 2027. NTA has not yet released the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin, but based on previous years’ trends, the exam is expected to keep the same five sections with 20 questions each. MBAUniverse.com will update this page if NTA announces any change.

The CMAT application form 2027 is expected to be released by NTA in October 2026 on cmat.nta.nic.in. Last year, the CMAT 2026 application form opened on October 17, 2025. The exact CMAT exam form date 2027 will be confirmed in the official CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin.
