There are 95 questions in XAT 2027, all multiple-choice with five answer options. Part 1 has 75 questions: Decision Making (21), Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (26), and Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28). Part 2 has 20 General Knowledge questions. XLRI has made no changes to the XAT exam pattern for 2027.

XAT total marks are 95, since the exam has 95 questions and each correct answer carries +1 mark. However, only the 75 marks from Part 1 (Decision Making, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation) count towards the XAT percentile. The 20 GK marks in Part 2 are used only by XLRI Jamshedpur.

The XAT GK syllabus covers 20 questions: about 12 on current affairs and 8 on static GK. Topics include business and economy, science and technology, sports, awards, the Indian Constitution, and history and geography. GK marks are not counted in the XAT percentile, but XLRI Jamshedpur uses them in its admission process.

The XAT Quant syllabus covers arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration and modern maths, along with Data Interpretation using bar diagrams, pie charts, graphs and data tables. In XAT 2026, the QADI section had 28 questions: 19 on Quantitative Ability, including 7 on Number System and 5 on Geometry, and 9 on Data Interpretation.

There are four sections in XAT exam, split into two parts. Part 1 has Decision Making (21 questions), Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (26) and Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28), to be solved in 170 minutes. Part 2 has General Knowledge (20 questions) in 10 minutes. GK marks are not counted in the XAT percentile.

The XAT syllabus 2027 for MBA covers four sections. Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning tests reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and critical reasoning. Decision Making uses business, HR and ethical caselets. Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation covers arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, modern maths and DI. General Knowledge covers current affairs and static GK.

NMAT by GMAC exam 2026 will be held over 49 days in November and December 2026. Exact NMAT Exam Date 2026 is November 2 till December 20, 2026. NMAT registration start date was August 20 and NMAT registration last date is over (October 31, 2026).
