Based on previous years’ trends, XAT 2026 exam pattern is divided into two parts: Part 1 includes Decision Making (21 questions), Verbal and Logical Ability (26 questions), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28 questions) and Part 2 includes General Knowledge (20 questions). XAT Essay Writing section was removed from XAT 2026 exam pattern.

The XAT 2027 exam date is expected to be Sunday, January 3, 2027. The XAT exam is held on the first Sunday of January every year, conducted in computer-based mode from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The official date will be confirmed by XLRI Jamshedpur in the XAT 2027 notification, expected in July 2026.

Yes, final-year graduation students are eligible to register for XLRI 2027 and appear for the XAT 2027 exam. However, candidates must complete their final-year examination by June 2027. Admission to XLRI Jamshedpur is subject to producing a valid bachelor's degree certificate before the institute's admission deadline.

The XAT 2027 eligibility criteria require a candidate to hold a recognised bachelor's degree of minimum three years' duration in any discipline. Final-year graduation students completing their final examination by June 2027 are also eligible to apply. There is no minimum or maximum age limit to appear for the XAT exam.
