TGICET

The TG ICET 2026 is a computer-based test with a total duration of 150 minutes (2.5 hours). The exam will be held in multiple sessions on May 13 and 14, 2026. Since it is an online test, candidates are expected to solve 200 MCQs within the allotted timeframe.

This section tests English proficiency through 50 questions covering Vocabulary, Functional Grammar, and Reading Comprehension. It specifically includes 15 questions for comprehension passages and 10 questions focused on Business and Computer terminology. Other questions are based on synonyms, antonyms, phrasal verbs, and basic grammar rules like tenses.

The Analytical Ability section focuses on Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving with a total of 75 questions. Key syllabus topics include Series, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, and Data Analysis via Pie Charts or Venn Diagrams. Other questions are based on logical reasoning through seating arrangements, calendars, and clock-related problems.

The question paper is divided into three sections: Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Analytical and Mathematical sections each contain 75 questions, while Communication Ability features 50 questions. This totals 200 questions that must be completed within a 150-minute computer-based testing window.

Candidates receive one mark for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses. This allows students to attempt all 200 multiple-choice questions without the risk of score deductions. Performance is evaluated across three sections to measure systematic thinking and aptitude.

Top institutions including Osmania University, Kakatiya University, and JNTU Hyderabad accept these entrance scores. Other participating state universities include Mahatma Gandhi University, Telangana University, and Palamuru University. Admission is finalized through a centralized counselling process based on the candidate's state-wide merit rank.

The TG ICET is a 150-minute computer-based test featuring 200 multiple-choice questions. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks, or 45% for reserved categories. Final-year students are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be Indian citizens and meet the local/non-local status requirements defined by the Telangana state educational regulations for university admissions.

The deadline to submit the TG ICET application without late fees is March 16, 2026. Candidates missing this date can still register until May 3 by paying progressive late fees ranging from ₹250 to ₹10,000.
