Started from the academic session 2023-24, TAPMI Integrated Program in Management (IPM) aims to inculcate management practices among future professionals at a young age. TAPMI 5 year IPM programme uses an innovative and inclusive academic pedagogy of global standards based on an Integrative and multidisciplinary curriculum. The five year full-time integrated program is strategically designed with a blend of analytical, social, humanities, management, and skill-based courses. At the end of the five-year academic experience, the candidates who have successfully completed the (program) academic requirements will be awarded the degree of an MBA along with a BA (Foundations in Management) degree.
TAPMI IPM offers assured MBA from TAPMI Manipal. The score of CAT/XAT and other competitive exam is not required. TAPMI IPM is a Dual-Degree Course. Students get two degrees by the end of their five-year course – BA (Foundations in Management) and MBA. IPM also offers Exit Option. Student may exit the programme post three years of IPM with BA (Foundations in Management) Degree. Placements of IPM students will be conducted along with TAPMI MBA placements.
TAPMI IPM admission process has following stages:
- Students will be shortlisted based on their entrance exam score and academics
- On shortlisting students will be informed at their registered email address
- Thereafter, candidates will have to appear for an online interview and micro-presentation (20-25 minutes duration overall)
- The final selection for admission to the programme would be based on academic profile (Xth & XIIth) & English proficiency; Entrance Test score (IPMAT/ JEE/ SAT/CLAT/MET); Personal Interview; Micro-presentation; Extra-curricular achievements; Gender diversity considerations
TAPMI IPM has holistic program curriculum that incorporates integrative and multidisciplinary format to expand, diversify, and embolden students’ perspectives. IPM Students have the opportunity to get advanced certifications in foreign language and can opt for international immersion program. IPM students will get Placement assistance from placements & corporate engagement team of TAPMI which has a track record of 100% placement consistently over the years. Pedagogic approach includes Industry internship, social internship, live projects, rural engagement programme and outbound programs. Students will get Faculty Advisory Service, Career Advisory Support, and Leadership Assessment and Development Centre for holistic development. TAPMI has application oriented faculty with strong academic grounding and research focus.
IPM courses at TAPMI Manipal are identified from the six major buckets:
- Foundation in Social Sciences (FSS) to appreciate different perspectives and relevance of Social Sciences as a discipline.
- Foundation in Management (FM) meant to develop a foundation for students in the Management Sciences area to appreciate different perspectives of Management discipline.
- Foundation in Analytics and Data Sciences (FADS) to emphasize the applicability of mathematical and analytical methods to solve practical problems to impart the employability skills.
- Foundation in Humanities and Performing Arts (FHPA) to develop interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills, language proficiency, creativity, and depth and breadth in perspective seeking.
- Skill-based Workshops (SBW) will expose students to various technical and behavioural skills required to excel in dynamic business contexts.
- Social Internships and Live Project (SILP) will help students gain the industry experience.
Candidates should apply online with application fee of Rs.600. If you wish to appear in TAPMI IPM Entrance test – MET, you need to pay separate registration fees of Rs.1400
TAPMI IPM eligibility criteria have following requirements:
- Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 60% aggregated
- marks, passed in 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025 (subject to fulfilling the minimum
- eligibility criteria upon declaration of 10+2 examination results).
- Minimum 60% aggregated marks in Std. 10th
- English as a compulsory subject in HSC/(10+2) Examination.
- Students should have appeared in one of the following entrance tests either in the current academic year or previous academic year namely - IPMAT conducted by IIM Indore, JIPMAT conducted by National Testing Agency, JEE mains conducted by the National Testing Agency, SAT examination (administered on behalf of the College Board by the Educational Testing Service), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by MAHE
