ATMA preparation covers the same three skill areas as CAT (Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills) but has no Data Interpretation section, no Type-In-The-Answer questions, and the official ATMA Bulletin states that ATMA tests aptitude rather than subject-area achievement. Most candidates preparing for CAT find the same study plan covers the majority of ATMA's syllabus.
