Karnataka PGCET 2026 MBA exam pattern consists of 100 MCQs across 5 sections, each with 20 questions and 20 marks: Proficiency in English Language, General Knowledge, Computer Awareness, Test of Reasoning & General Intelligence, and Quantitative Analysis. Total marks are 100, duration is 120 minutes, with no negative marking and no sectional time limit.

Entry to the Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam hall opens at 10:00 AM (First Bell) and closes at 10:30 AM (Third Bell / exam start). After the Third Bell, no candidate is allowed to enter or leave the hall until the exam ends. Candidates wearing religious attire or using hearing aids must report 2 hours before the exam begins.

There is no negative marking in Karnataka PGCET 2026 MBA exam. Each of the 100 questions carries 1 mark, totalling 100 marks. There is also no sectional time limit. Candidates are advised to attempt all 100 questions since every attempt is an opportunity to score, and educated guesses carry no penalty.

Items strictly prohibited inside the Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam hall include mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, log tables, Bluetooth devices, earphones, wristwatches, books, notes, geometry box, pencils, wallets, handbags, food items, water bottles, and pen drives. KEA confirms no storage arrangement is available at centres, so candidates should not carry these items at all.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 dress code prohibits long-sleeved attire, jackets, blazers, shoes, head coverings (except religious headwear), watches, and jewellery. Only Mangala Sutra and nose ring are permitted as jewellery. Slippers or low-heeled sandals are mandatory footwear. Janivara and Shivadhara are explicitly allowed by KEA.

Documents required for Karnataka PGCET 2026 on exam day include: a printed Admit Card from cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026 (soft copies not accepted), one valid original government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, Passport, or PAN), blue or black ballpoint pens for OMR shading, and two recent passport-size photographs as a precaution.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Bell Timings follow KEA's official 7-bell schedule for the MBA exam on Sunday, 14 June 2026: First Bell 10:00 AM (entry begins, OMR distribution), Second Bell 10:15 AM (question paper packet verification), Third Bell 10:30 AM (exam starts, no entry or exit allowed), Fourth Bell 11:30 AM (1-hour caution), Fifth Bell 12:00 noon (30-minute caution), Sixth Bell 12:25 PM (5-minute caution), and Seventh & Last Bell 12:30 PM (exam ends).

ATMA preparation covers the same three skill areas as CAT (Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills) but has no Data Interpretation section, no Type-In-The-Answer questions, and the official ATMA Bulletin states that ATMA tests aptitude rather than subject-area achievement. Most candidates preparing for CAT find the same study plan covers the majority of ATMA's syllabus.

Take 8-10 full-length ATMA Mock Tests in the final 4-6 weeks before the July 12, 2026 exam, with at least 2 full-length mocks in the week before the exam at the same 2:00 PM time slot to simulate the real exam. Analyse each mock for accuracy, section-wise time leakage, and topic-wise weakness — the analysis is more valuable than the score.
