Masters in Human Resource Development (MHRD) offered by JBIMS Mumbai, is a 2-year full time master degree program started in 2019. The program is designed for aspirants with a strong desire to specialize in Human Resource Management. It focuses on developing HR leaders integrated with the Business as Partners. The program offers an extensive curriculum which includes a series of courses in various areas of Management along with HR courses. These are multidisciplinary courses which are important for Strategic planning and Decision making.
The Major HR Thrust Areas are Talent Attraction, Compensation Administration, Human Resource Management, Performance Management, Welfare and Industrial Relations & Labor Laws, Human Resources Information Systems, Learning and Development.
The step by step admission process for MSc Finance programme at JBIMS is as below:
- For Shortlisting purpose candidates will be screened based on MAH MBA CET score or CAT exam score
- Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Writing Ability Test (WAT); Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interview
Based on the performance on Entrance Exam, WAT, GA, PI, Academics, Extra curricular achievements among other parameters, final section will be made
The prime focus of the JBIMS MHRD program is to groom young generation to create, sustain and develop the business organizations and become change accelerators. “Nothing is permanent but change” and JBIMS is committed to create a new generation of HR professionals who can be the “Change Leaders” and “Change Management Catalysts” in the industry.
JBIMS is Preparing for today and tomorrow the Value driven HR professionals as organizational change facilitator in the Context of Nation Building. The programme Focuses on Knowledge Enhancement and Application Exposure through Innovative Learning System . The Learning Environment remains for 12 hours a day and is Focussed on Research and Field projects on continual basis while Partnering with industry. A compulsory 8 weeks summer internship after Year one is to be completed by the students.
The desirous candidates will apply on the portal of the JBIMS for admission to MHRD Programme. The application form will be opened for a stipulated period for applying to the admission process of MHRD
- Candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks
- Candidates must have secured 60% marks in class 10 & class 12
- The candidates should have appeared for MH-CET or CAT exam of current year to be eligible for the JBIMS MSc Finance admission
Based on the performance on Entrance Exam, WAT, GA, PI, Academics, Extra curricular achievements among other parameters, final section will be made by awarding weightage to each of these parameters. While out of 100 score before Personal Assessment round the weightages awarded are 60% for Entrance exam; 15% for Academics; 5% for Diversity; 20% for Extra curricular and work experience. The next part is personal assessment which again has 100 score and the weightages for personal assessment are 60% for PI round; 20% for GA round and 20% for WAT. As such, out of the total 200 score, the minimum Total Score (TS) required to be considered for admission to M.Sc. Finance is 50 for General Category and 45 for Reserve category. This will be as per the seat allocation done by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai for MH-CET.
JBIMS Mumbai offers various awards, scholarships and financial aid to its students. The JBIMS 1981 Annual Memorial Awards given to the students include a plaque and cash component. The cash component is awarded from the return on investment of the corpus, built through donations from the batch of 1981 and other donors.
Similarly, JBIMS awards Smt Jyoti Dwivedi Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship provides two deserving students with a core grant of Rs. 100,000 each towards their education fees. Additionally, in this edition, two additional ad hoc grants worth Rs 50,000 each were given thereby enabling four deserving students to fund their education and their dreams.
Apart from these, JBIMS offers various other scholarships, financial aid, Govt of India and State Government scholarships and fee waivers in deserving cases.
