A candidate who meets the following admission criteria can apply to Sri Balaji University for the MBA program of his/her choice. A candidate desirous of admission to the MBA program should :
Be a UGC-recognized university graduate with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
Students currently in the final year of their graduation and confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks may also apply for the MBA courses. The admission committee may give more weightage to higher marks in graduation.
It is imperative that the candidate should have taken at least one exam out of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MH-CET. MAT exams held after Aug/Sept 2024 to May 2025 will be considered for admission to the academic year 2025-27. We believe that true talent cannot be judged based on the score granted by any entrance exam. Hence, we do not have a cut-off score below which if the candidate scores cannot apply to the program.
If an applicant lacks an Entrance Examination Score, has not taken the Entrance examination, or wishes to enhance the scores mentioned above, they may choose to participate in the

Cut Offs: Balaji University does not have any specific cut-off scores for CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/MAH-CET. Balaji University gives only 35% of the weightage for the entrance examination while making the merit list.
Group Discussion Round: Candidates who meet the shortlisting requirements are called for the Group Discussion round. This will be for a duration of 30-45 minutes per group. This may include role play, case studies, and extempore speech and GD. 35% of the weightage in the merit list will be given to the GD process. This is an elimination round.
Personal Interview Round: This expert panel interview and the essay marks will carry 30% of the weightage. This panel will assess the candidates on various parameters including the suitability of the candidate for a particular specialization. The panel will also give the opportunity to the applicants to add or delete course options.

Candidates should submit the application form with the photostat copy of CAT / MAT / XAT / C-MAT / MAH-CET scores which will be verified during Personal Interview.
The latest MAT score which is available with the candidates can be submitted. It may be noted that we are not going to do our shortlisting based on the CAT / MAT / XAT /C-MAT / MAH-CET score alone, although weightage is allotted for the same.
Merit List: On completion of interviews, the performance of all candidates appearing for the interview is compared. A final merit list based on their overall performance is generated. The candidate is considered for the course which he has preferred according to the priority mentioned by him / her in the application form. In case, he / she is not selected for the course applied by him / her, then he / she will be considered for other courses and selected on merit.

The Master of Science in Finance course at JBIMS is structured to deliver a strong foundation in the principles and practice of finance, and the analytical tools and skills to form a sound basis for financial decision making. The new curriculum of M.Sc. Finance offers all the essential academic and professional skills necessary for a successful career in finance. It will develop a deep understanding of financial theories, assumptions and techniques before going on to explore fast developing specialism’s such as Fintech, Big Data and International Finance.
The programme focuses on financial decision-making from a management perspective. The programme is divided into four semesters. The first semester introduces the students to the environment of accounting, finance and basic tools of analysis. This semester contains six main courses: economics, quantitative methods, accounting and financial reporting, financial management, costing and taxation. This semester also contains two practical work in the areas of quantitative methods and accounting and financial reporting. Also, there are two seminar papers.
