CAT 2018 exam may bring a few surprises which may be aspirant friendly but would be brought in to achieve the further diversity in IIM classrooms for the 2019-21 batch. Sharing about CAT 2018 exam conducting strategy in an interview with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Sumanta Basu, faculty IIM Calcutta and convener of CAT 2018 responds to the queries related to CAT exam being conducted by IIM Calcutta this year.

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University has witnessed a sharp increase in the ratio of women students in its MBA full time 2018-20 batch. The high RoI MBA college in India, FMS Delhi has seen a 110% rise in the number of female students.
From 18% to 38% Female Students

CAT topper with 98.67 percentile and IIM Calcutta student of PGP 2018-20 batch, Medha Gupta had no time to join any coaching and preferred self preparation instead of joining some coaching although she made it a point to join the CAT Mock test series offered by the coaching institute. Medha suggests to improve your basics first instead of getting into the advanced level of topics immediately.

Medha is a B-Tech in CSE from IIT Ropar. She had earned 3 years experience as a software developer at PayPal before joining IIM Calcutta with a score of 98.67 percentile in CAT 2017.

Dr Sumanta Basu, faculty on Operations Management at IIM Calcutta is the CAT 2018 Convener who proposes to bring more diversity in IIM classrooms and is working on suitable examination pattern to achieve it.

CAT Date Announced Early: Innovative Step of CAT Convener
IIM Calcutta has been assigned the responsibility to convene CAT 2018 and Dr. Basu has been appointed as CAT 2018 exam convener. CAT 2018 Exam date is November 25, 2018 and the entire CAT exam schedule is to be announced with the release of CAT 2018 Notification in the last week of July 2018.

IIM Sirmaur, one of the newest and fast upcoming IIMs that started operation in 2015-16, has yet again successfully completed 100% Final Placements for its 7th MBA 2021-23 batch with 13% rise in average salary and 142% hike in highest salary. Out of the batch of 238 students, 224 students participated in Placement Season 2023, and 243 offers were made by 125 companies in diverse set of industries.

IIM Calcutta, the CAT 2018 convener, has asked the MBA colleges in the Non IIM category to register by July 25, 2018, if they wish to accept CAT 2018 exam score for MBA/PGDM admission 2019.

KMAT 2018 exam Registration and Application process will close at 12 PM on July 25, 2018 as the extended last date to apply for the last entrance test which offers admission to MBA/MCA in Bangalore University, and Karnataka VTU affiliated as well as private colleges is not expected to be extended any further. The KMAT 2018 application process is online and the KMAT 2018 Registration and application fee fixed by KPPGCA is Rs.800/- which can be paid online only.

CMAT 2019 Exam date is changed to January 28, 2019 from earlier January 27. National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CMAT 2019 instead of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which earlier conducted all the CMAT exams till 2018. CMAT is now known as NTA-CMAT instead of AICTE-CMAT. From 2019 onwards, NTA will conduct the CMAT exam and as such CMAT 2019 is the first CMAT exam conducted by NTA.

NMAT by GMAC Exam 2018 goes international with the facility to send your score for MBA admission in 22 MBA colleges in India and more than 10 MBA colleges in South Africa and Philippines. Registration for NMAT 2018 exam is open now till October 3. Candidates have the facility to self schedule the NMAT exam date based on their convenience and ease in the 75-day testing window from October 04 to December 17, 2018.
