IIM Bangalore becomes the first of the 20 IIMs to award MBA degree to its current post graduate batch 2016-18 instead of Post Graduate Diploma in its 43rd Annual Convocation held on March 17, 2018 at its campus. After the IIM Act 2017 has taken effect from January 31 this year, IIM Bangalore has moved forward to award MBA degree to its current batch while other IIMs including the top ones are mulling over the idea whether to continue with the PGDM or award Degree and are waiting for the laid down norms and rules to go ahead.

MAHCET 2018 result, according to DTE Maharashtra will be out on March 19, 2018. Traditionally DTE Maharashtra prefers to release the result around 5PM. IIM Bill 2017 which was turned into an Act after getting nod of the President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on December 31, 2017 may not bring its desired result for the current batch as the IIMs and the students studying in 2016-18 batch prefer the Post Graduate Diploma instead of MBA degree.
