IIFT 2017: Entrance exam date changed to December 3; no clash now with CAT 2017 exam date
The issue of exam date clash for IIFT 2017 entrance exam for MBA (IB) 2018-20 and CAT 2017 has been resolved. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has changed the IIFT 2017 entrance exam date to Sunday December 3 from earlier November 26 and the last date of registration has been extended to September 15 from earlier September 5, 2017. IIFT has extended the online registration date to make up the loss of time as thousands of candidates have not registered and applied to IIFT entrance exam due to the date clash.
XLRI-XAT 2018: Exam date is Sunday January 7; XAT registration to open Aug 3rd week
XAT 2018, gateway to XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB and other prominent B-schools will be held on January 7, the first Sunday of 2018 in paper pen mode with slight changes in exam pattern and number of questions.
Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur will conduct Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2018 on January 7, 2018. XAT is usually held on the first Sunday of January, however, for the first time XAT was held on 2nd Sunday of January in 2017.
Sharing the information on exam date XLRI official has confirmed Kindly note that the test date (XAT) is on Sunday, January 07, 2018.
CAT 2017: List of 140 test cities out; Noida, Mathura, Purnea, Samba & more small towns included
More small towns have been added in the list of test cities for CAT 2017 in all the States and Union Territories in India, although a few of the last year test cities have been struck off.
IIM Lucknow, the CAT 2017 exam convener has increased the CAT 2017 test cities to 140 from 138 in 2016 and 136 in 2015. Prima facie it appears that only 2 test cities have been added to 138 making it 140 but the fact is that many existing test cities for CAT exam have been discontinued and have been replaced by new small towns by IIM Lucknow this year.

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) concluded its campus placements for the academic year 2016-17 on a high note with record placements of 1,447 students and 1527 offers. More than 325 domestic and international companies offered career opportunities to UPES students this year. 56% of these recruiters were first timers at UPES. Overall, 91% of graduates who were eligible and opted for placements have been placed with the highest package of INR 29.76 lakhs.

Your date with CAT 2017 exam is on November 26 either in morning or afternoon session, depending upon which slot is allotted to you by CAT Centre 2017. IIM Lucknow, the CAT 2017 exam convener, has already clarified that allotment of exam centre and exam slot will be done only after the CAT registration last date of September 20 is over.

CAT 2017: 12.5% Application fee hike in 2 years; Registration starts August 9
IIMs have increased the CAT 2017 registration and application fee again for 2nd year in a row. The CAT 2017 notification release in news papers from IIM Lucknow on July 30 categorically reveals this fact.
In 2015, the CAT registration fee was Rs.1600/-. It was increased in CAT 2016 to Rs.1700 and now for CAT 2017 registration, fee has again been increased by Rs.100/- to Rs.1800/-. During the two years, the CAT registration charges have gone up by 12.5%. Now, the CAT 2017 aspirants shall have to shell out more to appear in CAT this year.
