Each correct answer in the exam is awarded with +1 mark. The raw score obtained in the exam is converted to scaled score and then converted to percentile score after allowing for equating and normalizing the scores for all the question paper sets. XLRI and other top MBA colleges consider percentile awarded in the exam to shortlist the candidates for final selection round.

Despite being a highly competitive and most important MBA entrance exam in India, the difficulty level of the exam is considered moderate to high.
