Youngest but fast emerging, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu is the 20th IIM set up in 2016 by the Ministry of Education (earlier Ministry of Human Resource Development). IIM Jammu has now become synonymous to innovation, talent and zeal for success and contribution in management. On January 24, 2020, IIM Jammu inaugurated its Off-Campus at Srinagar. Since inception, IIM Jammu has set high standards for outstanding value based quality education, high quality research, executive education, consultancy and strong corporate as well as international linkages.
Despite being young, IIM Jammu is a highly ranked B-school. In Govt of India NIRF Ranking 2023 IIM Jammu was Ranked # 41 among top 125 management institutes in the county. IIM Jammu has a consistent record of 100% placements. IIM Jammu has successfully completed 100% Placement 2024 for its 7th and large MBA 2022-24 batch. Average salary for the batch was Rs.15.48 LPA reflecting a dip of 6% from last year average salary of Rs.16.51 LPA. The highest salary in placement 2024 has also gone down at Rs.31.75 LPA from Rs.64 LPA. 130 companies participated in IIM Jammu Placements 2024 including 50 new companies making offers to large batch of 244 students. IIM Jammu offers 2 year full time residential MBA; MBA (Hospital Administration and Health Care Management); 2 Year Executive MBA (EMBA) in blended mode; 2 Years EMBA-Corporate Affairs & Management; 3 Years full time Doctoral PhD programme in Management; 5 Years Integrated Programme in Management (BBA+MBA); 5 Years Dual Degree (B.Tech+MBA) with IIT Jammu among other management programmes. IIM Jammu MBA admission is through CAT exam score and the common PI round CAP conducted for new IIMs.
Presently, IIM Jammu operates from the Old University Campus, Canal Road, Jammu. The proposed 200 acres of state-of-the-art IIM Jammu campus is coming up at Jagati, 14 Kms. from Jammu City, about 16 Kms. from Jammu Railway Station and 18 Kms. from Jammu Airport. The proposed Campus will be a blissful mix of modern architecture, culture and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
