MCQs carry 1/3rd negative marking for each wrong answer while there is no negative marking for wrong answer for Non-MCQ type questions

Number of QA TITA or Non MCQ type questions without negative marking in CAT are 6 to 8

Number of questions in Quantitative Ability section have remained 22 during last 3 years.

The number of DILR questions in CAT are 20. However, out of them DI questions go on changing between 10 to 15. In CAT 2022 there were two DI sets followed by 10 questions and in CAT 2023 there were 3 DI sets followed by 15 questions. Similarly, LR questions remain between 5 to 10

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning questions in CAT are both MCQ and Non-MCQ type

The Quant syllabus in CAT has questions of class 10 and 12 standard for Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and other topics.

Arithmetic is the most important part in CAT Quant Syllabus with around 40% questions based on topics like Percentage, Ratio, Interest, Time, Speed and Work and other topics

The Data Interpretation part has 10-12 questions and similar number of questions are placed in Logical Reasoning part in CAT syllabus

CAT syllabus for DILR section has set based questions which are in sets of 3-4 questions
