Highlight

IIM Calcutta CEMS MIM program is a one-year program which can be taken up simultaneously with the 2 year flagship PGP program of IIMC. The key distinguishing feature of CEMS MIM is that it brings forth all the stakeholders (schools, companies, students and alumni) together in a collaborative course which is the MIM. Qualifying students have to spend one term (Term V of IIMC 2nd year PGP / Term 1 of CEMS MIM) in any of the CEMS member schools abroad before returning to IIMC for the final term. They also have to fulfil various curriculum requirements of MIM by participating in Block Seminars, Skill Seminars, undertaking Business Projects and taking mandatory and elective courses mandated by the MIM curriculum. They also have to fulfil requirements for Language Proficiency and International Internship requirements. During the CEMS terms, students will interact and build networks with their peers and professors globally. Through the collaboration with CEMS corporate partners, students are exposed to real-life business situations thereby gaining insight into management best practices and learn key practical skills required to function effectively in an international organisation. It also provides the privilege of furthering international job prospects through interactions with these multinationals.

IIMC has joined CEMS, an elite club of 30 premier business schools from across the world, as an Academic partner. IIMC is the only Indian member of this renowned alliance of leading global business schools and multinational corporations.
CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education, formerly known as “The Community of European Management Schools” was established in 1988 between Università Bocconi, ESADE, HEC Paris and the University of Cologne. What started as a Pan- European beginning, has now grown to become a truly global organization consisting of 31 leading European, Asian, Australian and American schools of business, over 70 multinational companies and 7 NGOs. Through its prestigious “Masters in International Management” (CEMS MIM) postgraduate, pre-experience degree, CEMS has created a global standard of management studies for students to become true global managers with excellence in performance and ethical conduct and understanding of cultural diversity. CEMS MIM is ranked #3 in the world for 2012, top place in 2010-12 3-year ranking and #1 for combined international results in The Financial Times Global Business School Rankings.
