The 2 year Post-graduate Diploma Program in Business Design offered at SOIL Manesar campus, challenge students to tackle problems that are happening now.
SOIL uses Harvard Publishing, Global Curriculum templates, Case-based study methodology to teach traditional business subjects using innovative design thinking practices and liberal arts immersions during the 2 years on campus. SOIL PGDM students work with non-profit, corporate, and public entities to develop projects that address real-world challenges. While some projects last just hours, others last weeks – and in some cases, projects span years as student teams turn them into organizations that help people around the world.
SOIL offers experiential learning through different immersion programs like Rural Immersion, Global Immersion, Himalayan Retreat, Discover India Journey. Students need to work closely with a non-for-profit organization working towards community development. The projects will be chosen depending on the most critical need areas of the organization. SOIL PGDM offers specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Analytics. SOIL PGDM graduates are groomed and prepared to take on the range of responsibilities including Product management roles at top design-led firms, Business designers/product architects at start-ups, Experience and service design managers at large service companies, Strategy planning and execution management at established firms to identify and/or create new business opportunities, Roles in traditional domains of business management like finance, HR, marketing, Consulting at design research and product development firms, Entrepreneurship.
SOIL 2 Years PGDM Admission Process:
Stage-1: The Candidates should submit an online application by paying the requisite application fee of Rs.2000 for SOIL PGDM Admission 2024
Stage-2: Candidates should apply and appear in at least one of the MBA entrance exams the scores of which are acceptable by SOIL like CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT among others.
Stage-3: The Shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of past academic performance, admission test scores (CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT), and relevant work experience. Candidates will be intimated regarding their shortlisting through email / SMS to their registered phone number with every detail. Candidate should check GEPI Shortilisting status at SOIL website
Stage-4: Participate in GEPI Round comprising SOIL Talent Appreciation Test, Leadership Exercise, Life Map Exercise, Personal Interview Round. Personal Interview will be conducted by a panel of Industry experts and SOIL faculty. Candidates will be finally selected on the basis of past academic scores, extra co-curricular achievements, relevant work experience, test scores, performance in the workshop and Personal Interview. Selected Candidates will be intimated regarding their selection over email with information regarding their admission and payment of admission fees.
SOIL PGDM program blends Design Thinking and Liberal Arts with Management in a unique experiential curriculum that will provide a rich portfolio of exposure and skills spanning traditional as well as emerging areas of business management.
SOIL unique curriculum integrates management disciplines with liberal Arts and Design thinking. SOIL has made changes in the curriculum design that is developmental, personalized, and evolving; pedagogy that is student-centered, inquiry-based, authentic, and purposeful. Blended learning will is new norm, which has also been envisaged in Curriculum. SOIL has only invested a large amount of capital into an online LMS system for students and faculty to adapt to.
SOIL curriculum includes case studies and simulation as well as experiential learning modules. The curriculum focuses not just on “knowing” or “doing”, but more on “being”. Learning outside the classroom through leadership events, clubs, competitions, rituals, celebrations, is given equal importance. The evaluation system is more a learning and developmental tool. The curriculum and pedagogy is as per emerging trends and requirements of industry & global landscape with the flexibility to quickly redesign it to respond to these needs to improve the employability skills.
SOIL PGDM Application Process is detailed below:
Fill the SOIL Online Application form.
Create an account by filling in the details. You will receive a unique account ID and password. Using it re-login into your account and complete the registration process.
Enter all the details; academic, personal, work experience related.
Enter the CAT/XAT/GMAT registration details and upload the score card (if applicable).
Upload scanned photograph.
Select the date for “Design Thinking Workshop” round while filling the application.
SOIL PGDM application fee is INR 2000. Pay the application fee online.
Submit the application form with application fee of Rs.2000/-
Print the application form and acknowledgment slip for future correspondence.
SOIL PGDM Admission Eligibility Criteria include:
A candidate with bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution with 50% marks is eligible
A candidate appearing in final year of graduation is eligible
Entrance Exam Accepted for SOIL PGDM Admission are CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, NMAT by GMAC
Fresh Graduates as well as candidates with less than 5 years of work experience are eligible to apply.
Applicants may submit multiple examination scores; Institute will consider the best score provided by an applicant while shortlisting applications
Graduation type: 3 years / 4 years or 5 years integrated program in Arts/Commerce/ Science/ Engg. (B. Tech / B.E) etc. Candidates should have a full-time undergraduate degree
