The release of 9th Edition of NIRF Management Ranking 2024 has been delayed. Last year the NIRF Ranking was released on June 5, 2023 but this year it has not been released so far. After the formation of Modi 3.0 Government at Centre on June 9, 2024 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was expected that the newly appointed Union Minister of Education will release the NIRF ranking in a few days. However, the same is yet to be released. The delay in release of NIRF ranking is making adverse impact both on B-schools and students.

India is going to have its 22nd IIM soon! A completely new IIM is being planned in Assam near Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has already inspected the site for IIM Assam in Kamrup district in Guwahati. IIM Assam shall be mentored by IIM Ahmedabad and it is expected it will start operating in 2024 from a temporary campus till its permanent campus is constructed. A formal announcement from the Ministry of Education is expected soon.

XLRI-Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, one of the premium B-schools of India, has inaugurated its new batch of studentsof thenew academic session of 2024-25 on June 10, 2024 in offline mode for its PGDM-BM; PGDM-LSCM; PGDM-GM, PGDM-HRM along with FPM and Exec-FPM programmes. Out of the total 551 students, the new batch comprises of 55% Students from Engineering background in the XLRI PGDM-BM and PGDM-LSCM programs while 50% students from Engineering background have been admitted to PGDM-HRM program.

The Ministry of Education, Government of India has geared up to release the 9th Edition of Indias most credible NIRF Ranking 2024 soon, after a delay of more than one month than last year. It is expected that NIRF 2024 ranking will be released in July 2024 in 13 categories including NIRF Management Ranking 2024. Last year the NIRF Ranking was released on June 5, 2023 by the Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

International trade and management expert Prof Rakesh Mohan Joshi has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). Prof Joshi is a former Dean of the institute and was on deputation to Indian Institute of Plantation Management as Director. In a statement, IIFT has announced: Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi takes over as vice-chancellor of IIFT.
