IIM Calcutta reveals criteria for shortlisting candidates for the GD-PI round

According to the release issue by the B-school, the shortlisting has been done on the basis of the CAT 2010 score. IIM Calcutta has considered both overall as well as sectional scores for shortlisting the candidates. More details are given below:

Shortlisting Criteria for PGDM
For a General category candidate, the overall CAT 2010 cut off considered was 99.59 percentile.
For clearing the sectional cut offs, a candidates scores considered was as follows:
-- 80 out of 150 or 93.38 percentile for Quantitative Ability

ISB Hyderabad wins PepsiCos Become Indras Advisors Contest

Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabads team Jackdaws have won the PepsiCo Indias Become Indras Advisors Contest. This was the fourth edition of the campus engagement challenge by PepsiCo. The winner team Jackdaws won a pre placement offer from PepsiCo and an opportunity to present their challenge solution to Indra Nooyi, Chairperson & CEO, PepsiCo in New York. The topic for this years competition was India Heterogeneity The Product Customization Challenge.

IIM-K adopts three stage procedure for admissions 2011-13, CAT cut off 75 percentile

IIM Kozhikode has announced the Admissions Criteria for the 2011-13 batch admissions. There will be no GD round at the B-school, and instead Essay Writing test will be given. Lalu paathshala: the Railway Ministers management tips for Harvard and Wharton students

Railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav recently lectured Harvard and Wharton students at the National Rail Museums auditorium: 100 students from Harvard Business School and 30 from Wharton, along with seven professors from both B-schools. The students had come all the way to meet the Indian minister for taking tips on management and sharing the success story of Indian Railways. Lalu, as we all know, has been credited for the financial turnaround of the loss-making Railways into a profit-making venture.
