FMS Delhi Admission 2017: Changes in CAT 2016 Cut off Criteria to benefit Non Engineers

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi has announced a different admission 2017 criteria for CAT 2016 toppers to improve the ratio of non-engineers in its MBA 2017-19 batch. Apart from scoring a high percentile in CAT 2016, candidates will have to ensure that they also score a high sectional score as each section will be awarded varying weightage at the time of shortlisting. FMS Delhi will not accept any other exam scores except that of CAT 2016. Confirming the process, FMS Delhi clarifies FMS uses CAT score for shortlisting the candidates for the above programmes.

CAT 2016: 70% VARC section is RC only; all RC questions in MCQ format - solve & analyse daily

CAT 2016 exam as announced by IIM Bangalore will have VARC as the very 1st of the 3 sections. The weightage of Reading Comprehension (RC) part in VARC section will be 70%
and rest 30% will be on Verbal Ability section.
IIM Bangalore, the CAT 2016 convening IIM, proposes to place 34 questions in VARC section. Out of them candidates may face 10 Non-MCQs and 24 MCQs in this section.
VARC: 5 key points to note
-- 5 RC passages are to appear in CAT 2016 exam
-- There will be 2 short RC passages of around 400 words and 3 long RC passages with about 700 words each
