CAT 2016 practice test as a full length replica exam with all the working navigation tools is delayed by 10 days and will now be available in the October end. The official mock test for CAT 2016 was earlier supposed to be available for practice purpose with effect from October 18, 2016 as announced with the notification on July 31, 2016.

IMT Ghaziabad, the premier B-school opened admission process for its 2 year PGDM 2017-19 programs on September 1 and proposes to close the same on December 1, 2016. Although, IMT Ghaziabad will accept CAT 2016 and XAT 2017 scores to shortlist candidates for final selection round but the admission process will have a radical shift.

FMS Delhi despite issuing its MBA 2017-19 admission notification on September 6, 2016 vide ref. FMS/D-1077 has shied away from opening the application process which was supposed to begin in the last week of September, 2016 as per the announcement in the notification. IIM Jammu will be located on a temporary campus at the Old Government College of Engineering and Technology from the academic year of 2016-17. The project will involve a cost of Rs. 61.90 crore on temporary campus for the four years from 2016 to 2020. Steps would be taken for setting up the campus at Jammu and an out-campus in Kashmir region in future, a government statement said.

Candidates from non-engineering back ground and appearing in CAT 2016 on December 4, 2016 are worried whether IIMs really want to increase the number of non-engineers in their class rooms or it is only a gimmick. The facts also support the thought as IIMs remain dominated by the engineers despite their drive and efforts to increase the academic diversity in the class rooms.
