Out of 9 new IIMs participating in Common Admission Process 2016 that has already started on February 15, 2016, 8 IIMs have common shortlisting criteria although 2 of them have not made it available on their website.

Armed with the maximum possible percentile score of 100 that could be awarded to the best candidate in CAT 2015, Pranjal Agarwal a final year student of mechanical engineering at BITS Pilani was shortlisted for PI round by IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta for admission to flagship PGP 2016-18 batch. However Pranjal has clearly defined his goal to prefer IIM Ahmedabad to any other IIM.

CAT 2016 registration has begun today at 10AM with all the key details and procedure already announced by the convening IIM Bangalore. You need to ensure zero error while finalizing your registration else you may be required to re-register for CAT 2016. The CAT 2016 registration is totally online process and IIM Bangalore proposes to close it at 5 PM on September 22. Logical and Abstract Reasoning in MAH CET 2016 will play a major role in your admission to JBIMS or other top rated B-schools in Maharashtra. It is not necessary that all the high percentilers in CAT 2015 are supposed to be shortlisted by all the 19 IIMs nor all of these IIMs, except a few highly ranked ones, can be rated as good as many other non-IIMs and private B-schools who are rated much above than number of IIMs. Similarly many high percentilers in XAT 2016 have not been shortlisted by XLRI and XIMB and on the same ground even the top rank holders in CMAT 2016 and MAT 2015 & 2016 still remain undecided which B-school to choose now.
