ICFAI Business School announces admission tests for MBA & Executive MBA Program

The institute has already announced the date for its admission test - IBSAT - for both of the programmes.

The IBSAT (IBS Aptitude Test), acronym for ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test, will be held on December 21, 2008.

According to IBS, The IBSAT 2-hour long paper is aimed to test the applicants ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam to deliver the convocation address at NITIE Mumbai

Bharat Ratna and Former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam will preside over the function and deliver the convocation address.

Dr Kalam will also hand out the coveted Industrial Management, Information Technology Management and Industrial Safety & Environment Management diplomas to the 2008 Batch. He will also address the present batches, Class of 2009 and 2010, currently pursuing their MBA.

SWIM is an initiative by the students of Great Lakes to empower women with traits to assume leadership roles in the corporate world. The SWIM community, initiated in 2005, works towards identifying and drawing inspiration from successful women from various walks of life.

West meets East: Georgetown University students visit IIM-L Noida Campus; discuss ITC e-Chaupal case with IMPX students

The objective of the visiton August 11, 2008was to give both groups of students a chance to network and discuss cases in the area of business strategy.

On the occasion, a two hour joint case-discussion on ITC e-Choupal was held at IIM-L Noida campus which was facilitated by Prof Stanley D Nollen, Mc Donough School of Business and Prof M Akbar, Professor of Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship, IIM Lucknow.

CRSI to hold workshops on Case Method of Teaching

The workshops began in July, 2008 and will continue till February 2009.

The workshops are divided into four sessions which include Case Method of Teaching Demonstration; Case Method of teaching by participants and feedback; Presentation of draft cases by participants and feedback and Sharing experiences in case writing.

The workshops are aimed at faculty members from B-schools in India; trainers from large industrial organizations and senior HR executives who are involved in training related activities.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy: IIM-B beats IIM-C in annual sports meet

Samhar, the annual sports meet between IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta was held on August 10, with IIM Bangalore winning 15 out of the 17 events.

More than 90 students from IIM-C had traveled to Bangalore to participate in Samhar. The meet kicked off on Friday with Throwball (Girls), an event that never fails to draw large crowds. IIM-B won it in straight sets and then went on to win Volleyball that was much more closely contested.
