27th PGDM Induction Programme at IMS Ghaziabad
IMS Ghaziabad organized PGDM (AICTE Approved, NBA Accredited and Equiv. to MBA by AIU) Induction Programme during July 20-22, 2016 on the occasion of commencement of its 27th batch. The Induction programme revolved around the theme: Corporate Expectations from Young Managers. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario.
HDFC Bank to recruit NIIT IFBI students for banking operations
Selected students of IFBI would join HDFC Bank as Trainees immediately upon completion of the institutes 6-month Post-Graduate Diploma in Banking Operations (PGDBO) program.
Under the terms of the partnership, HDFC Bank would make an offer of employment to identified students of IFBI at the time of their admission to the PGDBO program. Such students would complete the Internship component of their PGDBO program at HDFC Bank, and get employed, post successful completion of the requirements. The tie-up was announced last month.

S K Barua to be the new IIM-A director, Pankaj Chandra to take charge of IIM-B
Sources close to the development have confirmed to MBAUniverse.com that IIM-A will be headed by Dr S K Barua, who is currently a faculty at IIM-A and member of the IIM-A governing board. Dr Pankaj Chandra, also a faculty at IIM-A, will head to Bangalore to be the director of IIM-B. Said a source at IIM-A, Yes it is true that IIM-A will be headed by Dr S K Barua and IIM-B will be headed by Dr Pankaj Chandra. However, we are yet to get official documents from Ministry of HRD.
UPES Dehradun celebrates 14th Convocation
UPES holds 14th convocation ceremony to confer degrees to its students on June 18, 2016. The ceremony was held at Universitys Bidholi, Dehradun campus and was presided over by Honourable Dr. K K Paul, Governor, Uttarakhand, who also delivered the convocation address. Indian students need to be protected from fly-by-night foreign operator: Arjun Singh
Thats the message from HRD minister Mr Arjun Singh while speaking at FICCI Higher Education Summit, being held in New Delhi on November 2-3. Said Mr Singh, Education is a sensitive area. Indian students are gullible and need to be protected from fly-by-night operator. Mr Singh was responding to the demands for more liberal regime allowing foreign institutions to set-up their campuses in India with 100 % FDI investments.
