Essential documents include SSLC and PUC marks cards, study certificates, and qualifying degree marks cards. If claiming reservation, a Caste or Income Certificate issued by the Tahsildar is required. Wards of defense personnel must also provide a home-town declaration certificate from the Department of Sainik Welfare.

Eligibility requires seven years of study in Karnataka or a qualifying degree from the state. Candidates must have studied in Karnataka-recognized institutes for seven academic years starting from 1st standard. Alternatively, those who passed their qualifying degree in Karnataka may qualify if a parent studied in the state for seven years.

Applicants for part-time MBA programs must have at least three years of post-qualification work experience. This experience must be completed by July 31 of the admission year. Additionally, the candidate's place of work must be within a 40 KM radial distance from the chosen college. There are no such requirements for full time MBA program candidates.

Non-Karnataka candidates are eligible to apply for the exam but cannot claim reservation benefits. While they can appear for the test, they are considered under the general category. Government quota seats are primarily reserved for candidates who meet specific domicile or education requirements within Karnataka.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks in all subjects. For reserved category candidates, including SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka, the minimum requirement is 45%. This aggregate includes all subjects and languages across all years of the degree.

The Mathematical Ability section contains 55 questions focusing on Arithmetical, Algebraical, Geometrical, and Statistical skills. Specifically, it includes 35 questions on Arithmetic and 10 questions each for Algebra/Geometry and Statistics.

The Analytical Ability section features 75 questions split between Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving. This includes 20 questions on Data Sufficiency and 55 questions covering sequences, series, data analysis, and coding-decoding.

There is no negative marking in AP ICET 2026, and candidates receive one mark for each correct answer. Because no marks are deducted for incorrect or unattempted responses, students are encouraged to attempt all 200 questions.

The AP ICET 2026 exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions divided into three distinct sections. Analytical Ability carries the highest weightage with 75 questions, followed by Communication Ability with 70 questions and Mathematical Ability with 55 questions. Candidates have a total of 150 minutes to complete the test.
