A: Based on analysis of CAT exam pattern for last 10 years, the toughest year of the CAT exam were CAT 2015 by IIM Ahmedabad, CAT 2018 by IIM Calcutta and CAT 2023 by IIM Lucknow.

A: While the minimum IIM Mumbai CAT Cut Off was 80 percentile for general candidates, the actual cut off for General category admission is expected to be 96-97percentile.

To ensure fairness to all candidates, the raw scores obtained by the candidate in each of the three sections (VARC, DILR, and QA) are adjusted using a statistical CAT Normalization Process. This process adjusts the CAT scores for all candidates for all slots by considering factors such as difficulty level by considering the Mean and Distribution of scores of all candidates in each slot. The result of this step is the Scaled Score for each section. CAT scaled scores allows raw scores from different slots to be compared on a common scale. CAT scaled scores are used for percentile calculation.
