IIM Lucknow Post Graduate Programme (PGP) leading to award of MBA degree, is a two years full time residential programme. The PGP is designed to develop professional managers with strong conceptual fundamentals and skills required to manage businesses of the future, while giving them the vision to determine what the future will be.
The students meeting the program requirements are awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration. IIM Lucknow has partnered with many reputed international institutions across the world for student exchange, research, faculty exchange programmes. These institutes abroad are located in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and in other countries.
Admission Process for Candidates for MBA (PGP) at IIM Lucknow is through CAT. The admission of the candidates for admission to the MBA at IIM Lucknow is a two-step process:
In the first step, candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. Detailed Admission process is as below:
- The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for PI round which is conducted in many cities
- Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
- After the PI round, IIM Lucknow will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Lucknow to successful candidates.
- The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in PI round, academics, diversity, work experience among others
IIM Lucknow PGP curriculum is divided in six terms spread over two years. The First Year academic work, spread over three terms, is a compulsory package of 22 foundation (core) courses designed to provide basic knowledge of concepts, tools and techniques in various functional areas and relevant disciplines.
The two-month compulsory Summer Training in industrial and business organisations follows the first year course work. The summer training is aimed at providing exposure to the real life working environment. Students are required to work on specific, time-bound organisation related assignments.
The Second Year academic work, spread over three terms, comprises two compulsory courses of integrative nature along with a package of 15 elective courses of advanced and applied nature.
In the second year of the PGP Programme in Management, IIM Lucknow offers choice of Specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance & Accounts, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, IT & Systems, Business Environment, Communication, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, General Management.
IIM Lucknow PGP students have the opportunity to choose and participate in two workshops in their sixth semester. The students can register for two elective workshops from the list below: Sports Marketing – Marketing Area; Qualitative Market Research–Marketing Area; Framing Identity and Role through Exploration – HR area; Business of Entertainment – General Management; Capstone Business Simulation – General Management; Risk Management – Finance area; Personal Finance and Retail Banking – Finance area; Behavioral Finance – Finance Area
- For IIM Lucknow PGP admission, the applicant should Register and apply for CAT exam by paying the requisite application fee for the exam.
- On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Lucknow PGP and other programs and select the interview city.
- Your application for IIM Lucknow admission is submitted.
- You do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Lucknow Admission.
- After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Lucknow website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password
- IIM Lucknow MBA Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- The candidate should appear in CAT exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for Admission
- All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to IIM Lucknow
- For the candidates who have appeared in PI-WAT round, a composite score for final selection will be derived using the parameters and the corresponding weights as given below. This composite score will be used for preparation of category-wise merit list for final selection.
