TAPMI Manipal shortlisting Criteria is given below.
Applicants will be shortlisted based on valid (best scores) entrance examinations. Applicants can submit more than one test score.
- CAT (Common Admission Test) 2025
- XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2026
- GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) January 1, 2021- January 31, 2026
- NMAT by GMAC™ 2025 scores, whichever is higher.
Apart from high test score, TAPMI considers the overall profile of candidates. For example, academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation marks), work experience, extra-curricular achievements, achievements in sports, contribution to social activities, entrepreneurial spirit, diversity, leadership potential, integrity and values. The entrance examination cut-off may vary slightly each year across programs, depending upon the profile of applicants and the suitability of the profile to specific program(s).

TAPMI MBA Curriculum focusses on program vision: Leadership through Value-Creation. It is designed to create “Value Leaders” via in-depth 360° understanding of business through cross-functional integrated learning. The program is designed to push students to go beyond their constraints and redraw their boundaries to achieve excellence in business. Every aspect of a student’s life in the two-year period involves decision-making.
After completing the core courses in first year, TAPMI students go for summer internship. Then they study their selected specializations in Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT & Systems, Economics, Behavioural Science, Human Resources, Strategy, Communications.

TAPMI Manipal eligibility criteria for MBA Admission 2025 include following criteria:
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- A candidate in final year of graduation can also apply
- Applicant should appear in one of the acceptable MBA entrance exams CAT/XAT/GMAT. The candidate should be registered for at least one these exams and must score well to become eligible for admission
Specific eligibility for MBA (Core program)
- Valid entrance exams CAT/XAT and GMAT
- Cut-off scores of:
- CAT / XAT / GMAT (Equivalent) scores of 90 percentile and above AND, at least two years of work experience at TAPMI approved companies.
OR - CAT / XAT / GMAT (Equivalent) scores of 90 percentile and above AND, have obtained a Professional qualification(s) CA/ CFA/ CS/ FRM/ CMA.
OR - CAT / XAT / GMAT (Equivalent) scores of 95 percentile and above.
- CAT / XAT / GMAT (Equivalent) scores of 90 percentile and above AND, at least two years of work experience at TAPMI approved companies.
- Profile based shortlisting for people with work experience above 24 months.
TAPMI final selection process includes Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final merit list for admission is prepared with weightages on Entrance exam score, performance in GD, PI and WAT, Academic profile, Gender Diversity, and Extracurricular achievements. Following weightages will be awarded to generate admission offer in final selection round:
