IRMA's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) is 2 years full time AICTE approved management programme. The PGDM RM at IRMA prepares talented young managers to assume challenging roles in rural cooperatives and development organisations. The two-year residential programme leading to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) is recognised as equivalent to a Master's degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The participants of this program are highly valued in local, national and international cooperatives, NGOs, development organizations, and funding agencies. All participants are suitably placed in different organizations through the IRMA Campus Placement programme.

Admission Process

Step by Step process for IRMA PGDM RM Admission are as below:

Step 1: Apply and Appear in CAT 2024/XAT 2025/CMAT 2024
The candidate must have registered and should have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT 2024/XAT 2025/CMAT 2024

Step 2: Register and Apply for IRMA Admission 
Carefully register and apply online for admission to IRMA. While applying, the applicant is required to pay the application fee. You need to follow the sequence of all stages after editing (do not skip any stage) to ensure proper data entry. Any editing is possible before final submission. After final submission, it will not be possible to edit the IRMA application form.

Step 3: Shortlist: The shortlisting includes the candidates who are short-listed for IWAT & Personal Interview round on the basis of their CAT and XAT score. 

Step 4: Participate in IWAT & PI Round: After the Shortlisting process, all the shortlisted candidates have to appear in IRMA WAT and PI online or offline.  Personal Interview will be conducted in OFFLINE and ONLINE mode. Candidate will be given an option for selecting mode of Personal Interview. 

Step 5: Final Admission Offer: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the last week of March 2025 on the basis of Final Merit Score 

Curriculum

IRMA's Post Graduate Diploma Management (Rural Management) is developing professional managerial manpower for the underserved rural society through different kinds of organizations and institutions. This has been a path chosen by IRMA for the last more than four decades. The PGDM (RM) features a well-structured curriculum that integrates intellectual and experiential learning through classroom and field-based components. The introductory management courses are rooted in the philosophies of collectivism, cooperation, and conscious capitalism. Term I and Term II are required core courses for all PGDM (RM) participants. They pursue a blend of obligatory and elective courses from term III to term VI.

Eligibility Description

Following key points form the IRMA eligibility criteria for PGDM (RM) Admission 

  • A Graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years of education and 50% or above (45% or above for SC/ST/PwD) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level is eligible to apply for IRMA’s PGDM (RM) program
  • Candidates in the final year of the bachelor’s degree may also apply
  • However the candidate should complete the graduation before the time of commencement of the PGDM (RM) 2025 - 27 programme. The candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be asked to withdraw from the programme. The Fees paid by such candidates will be forfeited unless IRMA fills their vacant seats through new admissions.

Category 1 - Based on Merit only

  • All India Category - Top 20 Students - Amount (Rs) per annum 1,00,000/- each
  • Admitted through ACPC -  Top 10 Students - Amount (Rs) per annum 1,00,000/- each    

Eligibility criteria for continuation/ renewal of the scholarship
1. During the entire previous year, the conduct of the student should be good
2. No acts or omission which results in unlawful behavior, malafide intention maligning the University brand in digital, print, or social media, promoting, supporting or sharing any content which is against the University brand
3. No disciplinary action was initiated/sanctioned against the student under the student handbook or compliance with norms as prescribed by the University
4. The student should maintain merit and get CGPA of 7.0 and above and should have passed all courses of study in the first attempt in the previous year
5. The student is not caught in unfair means in any of the examinations conducted either by the Institute or University
6. The student should maintain minimum attendance criteria except the absence with genuine reasons for which the permission of the Ho I was obtained particularly in the case of illness
7. It will be the responsibility of the applicant to check the eligibility before submitting application. In case the applicant is found non-eligible at any stage, his/her submission or scholarship will be disqualified
