MICA Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two years full time programme in management. The programme is offered on the lines of PGDM-C programme and has similar specializations. The placements for both the programmes are also common. The programme offers high placement opportunities in India as well as abroad.

The PGDM at MICA imparts professional knowledge in management theory and practice with specific emphasis on strategic marketing and communications that encompasses emerging industry trends in digital transformation and analytics. It will enable students to apply the knowledge and skills through intensive interaction with the industry using research and field-based immersion projects and learning.

On completion of the MICA PGDM programme, students will be able to demonstrate analytical and critical thinking abilities for data and evidence- based decision making using the latest trends in analytics, digital technologies, and business transformation. Besides, the Students will be able to have the ability to understand, manage and communicate global, economic, legal, and ethical aspects of entrepreneurship and business management

The PGDM programme at MICA develops agile thinking abilities of the students for evidence-based decision making and adaptive problem-solving and shapes competent and innovative leaders with global perspectives and sensitivity to business, environmental and societal impacts of managerial actions. Admission Process

MICA Application has to be submitted online with the requisite application fee of Rs.2100/-. In the application, applicant needs to update the score options which he/she would like to submit (CAT/XAT/GMAT). 

MICA admission is a three step process involving appearance in MICAT for all the CAT/XAT/GMAT takers, shortlisting based on exam scores, and the Final selection process. MICA Ahmedabad admission process for PGDM is detailed below: 

Step 1: Apply and appear in at least one of the acceptable Entrance exams -CAT/XAT/GMAT

Step 2: Apply for MICA admission and appear in MICAT-I or MICAT-II or in Both

Step 3: Check MICA Shortlist for final selection round. MICA awards 50% weight to MICAT and 50% weight to CAT/XAT/GMAT exam score in shortlisting process

Step 4: Participate in GE-PI in Final Selection Round  

Step 5: Check your Admission Status in Merit List and Pay admission fees. Final admission is based on performance in Group Exercise; Personal Interview, MICAT and  CAT/XAT/GMAT Score

Step by Step MICA Application process for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management Communications (PGDM) programme is as below:

Step-1: Register to Get User ID: Click on Apply Now at MICA website. On the page that opens, you should fill in your name, mobile number, valid email ID and after clicking on ‘I Agree’ box, and entering captcha, you need to click on submit button.  

Step-2: Check & Verify Details: Verify the filled in information and click on OK button. Your User ID and password are now sent to your mobile and on your email ID. The page also displays your application number which you should note for future reference

Step-3: Go to Application and Upload Photo & Signature: Your MICA registration is now complete. Click on Go to Application and read instructions how to fill MICA application form and proceed further. The application form first requires to fill personal details, upload your photo & signature at the top 

Step-4: Fill Academic Details & Work Experience: On the next page you need to fill the academic details from class 10 onwards and also your work experience details

Step-5: Enter CAT/XAT/GMAT Exam Details: On this page you should choose the entrance exam the score of which you wish to submit for admission and if available now, you should submit exam score also. If you do not have the score card now, you will be allowed to update your score later. Besides, as MICAT is the mandatory test for MICA Admission, you should choose whether you wish to appear in MICAT-1 or MICAT-2 or in both

Step-6: Make Payment: MICA Application fee is Rs.2100. You need to pay this fee online. If the fee amount is correct you should click on ‘I Agree’ before finalizing the payment and proceed further. 

Step-7: Enter Entrance Exam Score after Result Declaration: After the CAT/XAT  result declaration, MICA will give you the opportunity to update your exam score. You should login as Already Registered candidate to update your CAT/XAT score

Eligibility Description

Key points in MICA Admission Eligibility Criteria are:

  • MICA Ahmedabad eligibility criteria for PGDM require a Bachelor's degree (10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply
  • Candidates who demonstrate aptitude for expressing, assessing, and /or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted
  • All the applicants must have appeared at least in one of the entrance exams – CAT conducted by IIMs or XAT conducted by XLRI or GMAT conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and must have scored well

Scholarships

MICA Ahmedabad Scholarships, leading to partial or full fee waiver are offered to the students. MICA Scholarships are Merit Based and Need Based which are offered to students in 1st and 2nd year of the MBA courses to support them to pursue the management program with reduced financial burden. MICA Scholarships are awarded annually based on the student's overall academic performance and family income.  The scholarships are awarded to the students who are currently pursuing studies at MICA. The process of evaluating and awarding the scholarships is rigorous.

MICA offers Prof. Bikram Bindra "Equity Scholarship" and other merit and Merit cum Means scholarships. The students from PGP-1 will be eligible to apply. The Criterion for Scholarship selection is based on the Family Income not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. Student’s academic performance should be minimum CGPA of 3.00  and class attendance record of minimum 80% in the first year for PGP-2 scholarship. Winning state/national/international level competitions will also add to eligibility.

The maximum number of scholarships to be awarded will be 25 to 27 (to PGP-1, PGP-2, and CCC), including the sponsored from Prof. Bikram Bindra for 1-2 student(s), where Prof. Bindra will provide Rs. 5 Lakhs to the student(s). The scholarship to be awarded for PGP-2 students will be up to 12. MICA will provide the scholarship up to 100% of the tuition fees per student in the programme. The number of scholarships to be awarded for PGP-1 will be up to 11 to 13. For CCC, the scholarsdhip will be awarded up to 2 students. MICA will provide up to 50% of the tuition fees per student in the programme.
