Mysore has recently earned the international ACBSP Accreditation. It is one of the top 3 international accreditations and is awarded by Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA.

ACBSP accreditation standards are modeled on the Balridge National Quality Program. Out of thousands of B-schools in India, less than 20 B-schools are accredited by ACBSP. SDM IMD received the accreditation in November 2016.

SPJIMR student Shekhar Kapoor scored 99.058 in XAT 2016 and 94.98 in CAT 2015 despite being a working professional before joining PGDM 2016-18 at SPJIMR, Mumbai despite all the odds and time crunch.
Sharing the success mantra for the benefit of XAT 2017 aspirants, Shekhar is of the view that the exam taker should manage the time well during preparation and while taking the exam. According to him the test taker should do calculation manually and orally instead of depending upon the calculators for Quant or DI calculations as it will save more time.
