The Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli (IIMT) welcomed Ms. Prachi Garg to conduct a lecture on the topic of the Challenges women entrepreneurs face and how to cope up with them. Ms. Garg is the founder of www.ghoomophiro.com, a start-up that helps in curating corporate tours. The lecture was organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIMT.

XLRI Jamshedpur the XAT 2017 conducting institute has announced the registration for XAT 2017 open from August 17, 2016. The registration and application fee for XAT 2017 has been increased to Rs. 1600/-. The last date to register and apply for XAT 2017 is November 30, 2016. XAT 2017 exam will be held on January 8, 2017 in a single session in paper pen mode from 10AM to 1.30PM.

Late registration allowed till December 11

XAT 2017 registration, opened on August 17 has not fixed any minimum percentage of marks at bachelors degree to apply for the entrance exam or to XLRI Jamshedpur. There is no threshold limit of 50% marks in graduation to become eligible to register and apply for XAT 2017 to be held on January 8, 2017 as paper based test. Accordingly all the candidates with recognized bachelors degree or in the final year of bachelor degree are eligible to register for XAT 2017.

The hidden age bar in CAT 2016 registration and application process has since been removed by the convener as the academic fields for bachelors degree in the form stand modified.
Now, CAT 2016 key eligibility criterion no longer demands only 3 or 4 years of bachelors degree but also allows the aspirants with shorter duration of 2 years of graduation to apply for the largest MBA entrance test leading to IIMs and other top business schools in India. To facilitate the process, CAT 2016 registration form has also been duly amended.

Your updated General Knowledge in IIFT 2016 can push your score up by 15% and can place you in merit. In fact GK sectional score in IIFT entrance exam commands high importance and the candidate has to qualify in this section also along with other 3 sections.

GK section apart from being a score booster with 30 questions carrying 15 out of 100 marks, requires no special skill to prepare as your regular reading of news papers, editorials, periodicals and good memory can turn the table in your favour in IIFT entrance exam.

CAT 2016 Registration process has 2 parts and while filling in the academic details in the application form after creation of profile is complete, aspirants are facing confusing problem while converting their academic letter grades and CGPA to percentage of marks as required by CAT 2016 registration and 5 page application form.

Weightage to CAT 2016 scores has been further reduced by IIM Calcutta as compared to last year for admission to its flagship PGP 2017-19 batch. Now instead of written exam scores in CAT 2016, major component of admission criteria will the PI round scores according to the admission policy announced by the prestigious B-school to shortlist the candidates for PI round and then making final admission offer.

1st stage shortlisting: Low weight to CAT score
