CAT 2016: Mismatch between IIMs and CAT eligibility criteria; toppers also not eligible

CAT 2016 eligibility criteria do not see eye to eye with the eligibility norms announced in the admission policy by IIMs for PGP 2017-19 batch. Does it mean that IIM Ahmedabad will not consider and shortlist even the CAT 2016 toppers, if they fulfill the CAT eligibility but fall short of the norms announced by the B-school. The Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli (IIMT) welcomed Ms. Prachi Garg to conduct a lecture on the topic of the Challenges women entrepreneurs face and how to cope up with them. XAT 2017: Registration opens; application fee increased - apply before Nov 30

XLRI Jamshedpur the XAT 2017 conducting institute has announced the registration for XAT 2017 open from August 17, 2016. The registration and application fee for XAT 2017 has been increased to Rs. 1600/-. The last date to register and apply for XAT 2017 is November 30, 2016. XAT 2017 exam will be held on January 8, 2017 in a single session in paper pen mode from 10AM to 1.30PM.

XAT 2017: Registration No cut off in bachelors degree; eligible to apply with less than 50% marks

XAT 2017 registration, opened on August 17 has not fixed any minimum percentage of marks at bachelors degree to apply for the entrance exam or to XLRI Jamshedpur. There is no threshold limit of 50% marks in graduation to become eligible to register and apply for XAT 2017 to be held on January 8, 2017 as paper based test. Accordingly all the candidates with recognized bachelors degree or in the final year of bachelor degree are eligible to register for XAT 2017.

CAT 2016: Convener changes the Eligibility criteria; allows short duration bachelors degree

The hidden age bar in CAT 2016 registration and application process has since been removed by the convener as the academic fields for bachelors degree in the form stand modified.
Now, CAT 2016 key eligibility criterion no longer demands only 3 or 4 years of bachelors degree but also allows the aspirants with shorter duration of 2 years of graduation to apply for the largest MBA entrance test leading to IIMs and other top business schools in India. To facilitate the process, CAT 2016 registration form has also been duly amended.
