I made a serious mistake while applying to B-schools on the basis of my May MAT 2016 scores. Before submitting my application to one of the 330 management institutes that were listed in AIMAs list of participating management institutes, I did not check the AICTE approval and went ahead to apply online. Make sure that you check it and dont recur the mistake as I made.

IIM Nagpur has released the admission offers on May 14 and has fixed May 23, 2016 as the last date to receive the acceptance letter and demand draft for commitment Fee of Rs.50,000/- at the institute. The candidates who have received the provisional admission offers should send confirmation through website latest by today May 20, 2016. The academic session at IIM Nagpur is proposed to commence in the 3rd week of June 2016.

There are 330 business schools offering you admission to MBA/PGDM 2016-18 on the basis of MAT 2016 May exam scores. AIMA has however withdrawn this list of B-schools from its site after declaration of MAT 2016 May result. Immediately with declaration of MAT 2016 May Result on May 16, the score card was put on the AIMA website. Candidates were supposed to download the score card with their 6 digits Registration Form Number and 9 digits Roll Number from AIMA website.

Apart from this, individual copy of Score Card with photograph has also been sentthrough normal post at the address given on the Registration Form. AIMA declared the result for MAT 2016 May exam 2 weeks ahead of time as the result was supposed to be declared in the last week of May 2016.

If you are searching for an IIM or XLRI or other top rated B-school like FMS, MDI or SPJIMR after scoring 500 or 600 in May MAT 2016, you are running after a mirage only. The sooner you get rid of this illusion, the better it will be to understand the hard reality in regard to getting into an MBA with low or high MAT May 2016 exam scores.

No doubt you have good MBA options, if not the best like IIMs, still open for admission across the country on the basis of MAT May 2016 exam scores, you are neither elevated after scoring 500 nor you have gone down after scoring 300.

After completing the process in phase 1, IIM Visakhapatnam has announced the Phase 2 shortlist of candidates for PGP 2016-18 batch. The shortlisted candidates have to appear now in Personal Interview & Written Ability Test to be conducted under the mentorship of IIM Bangalore.

The phase-2 shortlist has been declared after the candidates shortlisted in phase-1 had reconfirmed their interest by April 28, 2016. Those who missed the deadline may not participate in PI and WAT for admission to IIM Visakhapatnam.

After scoring a high percentile of 98 plus in May MAT 2016 exam, I am unable to take the decision which B-school I should apply in with my May MAT 2016 score card and the dilemma continues to deepen and now it appears that I need the expert counselling to clear the fog of confusion.
