AICTE is going to conduct the national level entrance test CMAT 2015 (second test) for admission to various PGDM/MBA programmes for the batch 2015-17 across the country from February 19 to 22, 2015. CMAT Feb 2015 will provide a good opportunity for the candidates who have scored less in CAT 2014 or do not expect very high scores in XAT 2015 to further improve their scores and explore admission opportunity in PGDM/MBA programmes in 2015.

FMS Delhi, one of the most preferred B schools in the country known for the high ROI programmes is yet to declare the shortlist of candidates for admission 2015. While most of the older IIMs, MDI and other top rated B schools have declared their shortlists for personal Interview round, the shortlist from FMS Delhi despite early declaration of CAT 2014 result is still awaited.

Gearing up to announce the shortlist immediately after declaration of XAT 2015 result even before January 25, 2015, XLRI is all set to announce the shortlist of candidates for an intake of 510 candidates to various PGDM programmes 2015-17 on January 25. In reply to a query on expected date of declaration of shortlist of candidates for GDPI round 2015, Prof Munish Thakur, Admission Chairperson XLRI has shared that the expected date is around 23rd-25th Jan 2015.

Expect XAT 2015 result before Jan 25

IIM Ahmedabad has declared the shortlist of candidates on January 2, 2015 for next phase of admission round comprising WAT & PI. 1249 candidates have been shortlisted for the final PI round.

Beyond any doubt, scoring a high percentile in CAT 2014 is the bare minimum requirement to remain motivated and hopeful of getting shortlisted by IIMs for second phase of admission 2015. But the thought that only high over all percentile score in CAT 2014 will suffice to convert the call after PI round is nothing more than living in a fools paradise.

IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Lucknow have already declared their short list of candidates for next phase of PGDM admission 2015-17 batch. IIMs have now started testing the shortlisted candidates on their Written Ability skills than testing them in Group Discussion exercise which does not have written exercises. IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Bangalore and other IIMs have either added Written Ability Test as one of the key components of final admission round or have substituted Group Discussion by Written Ability Test.
