IIM Calcutta has declared the shortlist of candidates for the Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview round (PI) today on January 5, 2015 for the flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP-PGDM) 2015-17.
IIM Calcutta (Kolkata) promised that the Shortlist of candidates to be called for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) for PGP-PGDM batch 2015-17 is likely to be available on January 5, 2015. Keeping the commitment IIMC took care to declare the shortlist of candidates on the pre-declared date.

Written Ability Test (WAT) in post CAT 2014 scenario is an important part of next phase of admission round 2015, the PI round at IIMs and other top rated B schools. Almost all the IIMs and other highly ranked B schools have started conducting Written Ability Test of 15-30 minutes. The shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT 2014 scores will have to show their skill on writing ability.

XAT 2015 is only a day away. Tomorrow on January 4, XAT 2015 aspirants will arrive at the respective exam centres at 9.30 AM, an hour before the scheduled commencement of the exam. Please remember XAT 2015 will have the same duration of 3 hours with more number of questions in the test. Instead of 103 MCQs XAT 2015 will have 114 MCQs. The sectional bifurcation is going to be as follows Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning-28 questions; Decision making-23 questions; Quant & DI-33 questions ; GK-30 questions.

IIM Calcutta has declared the shortlisting criteria on the basis of CAT 2014 scores and academic profile of the candidates for next phase of admission round 2015 consequent upon declaration of CAT 2014 result on Dec 27, 2014. While IIMC awards weightage to high score in X & XII classes, no weightage to graduation score is awarded in shortlisting the candidates for final admission round.

Keeping its promise to make available the shortlist on Jan 2, IIM Ahmedabad has declared the shortlist of candidates for PI round on its site on January 2, 2015 at 4 PM. Candidates who have scored high sectional percentile as well as overall percentile in CAT 2014 and have excellent academic profile have been shortlisted by IIMA for AWT and PI round for admission 2015.

XAT-2015 the PGDM/MBA 2015-17 batch entrance exam is to be held on January 4, 2014 in a single session and in paper pen mode in 47 cities in India. The exam is said to be held on the similar pattern as in past years with no surprise element in XAT 2015. But you may not rule out the surprise element in XAT 2015 to test your skill despite any claim of no surprises from exam conducting body. A few of such surprises are no longer the surprise element as they are known before hand but a few other unanticipated ones could also be present in XAT 2015 without any discrimination.
