CAT 2011: IMS learning expert answers Qs on first 3 days of CAT on Live Chat

CAT 2011, which started on 22 October, is on a smooth drive till now, with no major glitches reported from any of the test centers. The fourth test day is today, 28 October 2011. There are still 16 more test days to go as per the CAT test schedule. During these days thousands of MBA aspirants across the country would strive to bell the CAT.

CAT 2011 Day 2 .17 percent rise in number of test takers, No glitch

After the successful completion of Day 1 of CAT 2011 on 22 October, the Day 2, which was Monday, October 24, 2011, also saw a successful conduct of the test with 6,703 candidates taking the test across India at different test centers. Compared to Day 1, on Day 2 1,013 more candidates have taken the test. Like the Day 1, the second day too did not face any major tech problem.

CAT 2011 started from Saturday, October 22, 2011 without any major glitch. Prometric mentions that 5,690 candidates out of total 2.05 lakh registered candidates have taken the test on the first day of CAT 2011.

Prof. Janakiraman Moorthy, CAT 2011 Convener and IIM Calcutta faculty mentioned that there has not been any major issue reported. The Day 1 of CAT 2011 has been taken by 5,690 candidates and no major technical issues have been reported. The overall difficulty level has been reported as tough.

The CAT is finally out of the bag! The Session 1 of Day 1, which started at 10 am and ended at 12: 30 pm, has not thrown much surprises. According to the test takers at a Delhi NCR test center the test was Moderate in its difficulty level.

According to an expert from IMS Learning, Qualitative section was relatively higher on the difficulty level.

There were total 60 questions in both the sections QA&DI, VA&LR, with 30 questions in each.
