Dr Saibal Chattopadhyay new director at IIM-Calcutta

Indias premier management institute, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) has got new director in Dr Saibal Chattopadhyay, a senior faculty member in the Operation Management Group with more than 30 years of rich academic experience in India and abroad.

Dr Chattopadhyay took charge of the Directors office this week from the outgoing director Dr Shekhar Chaudhuri who led the institute for 11 years beginning November 2002.

XLRI increases PGDBM seats by 60; Total seat goes up to 180


XLRI Jamshedpur has increased its capacity of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) by 60 seats from the academic year 2013-14. With these additional seats, the total number of seats for the programme has gone up to 180.
According to Fr E Abraham, Director, XLRI Jamshedpur, the seats have been increased for the current admission year after the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) approval for the same. We have got approval for increasing the number of seats for our Business Management programme from 120 to 180 from this academic year, he said.
