The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) on Monday, September 10, organized a national symposium on The new era of regulations in finance where speakers such as Reserve Bank deputy governor Subir Gokarn and Goldman Sachs Services India chief executive V Bunty Bohra threw lights on the global financial crisis, the lessons from emerging market economies and banking regulations in pre and post crisis era.
It was a big learning experience for IIFT students who gathered in large numbers to hear from speakers who know the global banking and finance system inside out.

XAT registration begins; 106 B-schools to accept scores

The registration process for XAT 2013 has started from August 20. The last date is November 30. The examination will take place on January 6. The duration of the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The first two hours will consist of data interpretation & quantitative ability, analytical reasoning & decision making and verbal & logical ability. According to XLRI, students will have to attempt an open-ended essay or a multiple choice type question in the remaining period.

Genpact, IIMU ink knowledge partnership pact

Genpact, a global leader in business process management and technology services, has signed an agreement with the Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur (IIMU) to create a knowledge partnership. Under the seven-year agreement, IIMU and Genpact will jointly develop a centre for asset-based lending and finance and an analytics laboratory which will give students an opportunity to solve real-time problems, work on proprietary and the latest software tools and technology.
