Known as the School of Ideas, MICA Ahmedabad was established in 1991. MICA was formerly known as Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. MICA is the only residential institute in the country, and perhaps in the Asia-Pacific region, dedicated to creating leadership in Strategic Marketing and Communication. MICA is an Autonomous, Non-Profit Institution.
MICA is a Fulbright Affiliate Institute and an approved and accredited partner of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. MICA is a member of Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) and Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA). It has international collaborations for faculty and student exchange with renowned schools across the globe including ESCEM School of Business and Management, France ; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Institute of Applied Media Studies, Zurich; University of Texas, Pan-American, USA; Griffith University, Australia; Southern Methodist University, Dallas, USA among others.
MICA Ahmedabad is a highly ranked B-School. It was Ranked #37 in the GoI MHRD NIRF Ranking 2023 among 125 top Management institutes of India. MICA has a consistent record of 100% placements for PGDM-C and PGDM programmes. In placements 2024, MICA registered Average Package of Rs.19,21,535 and highest package of Rs.35,50,000 from FMCG sector. Large batch of 195 students received offers from 87 marquee companies which participated in placement 2024. Among the top recruiters were Aditya Birla Group, Accenture, Adani, Godrej, L'Oreal, Amul, Samsung, Tata among others.
MICA Ahmedabad offers AICTE approved programmes including 2 years full time PGDM-C; PGDM programmes. Besides it offers Post Graduate Certificate Programme and Fellow Programme in Management–Communications (FPM-C) MICA accepts CAT and XAT exam score for admission to its PGDM programmes.
MICA campus is located on the outskirts of Ahmedabad over 19 acres of green land. It has fully air-conditioned classrooms, seminar halls, an auditorium, an open-air theatre, a computer laboratory, a Library, hostel accommodation for over 300 students with 24*7 internet connectivity. MICA, a premier management institute for Strategic Marketing and Communication, concluded final placement 2024 achieving yet again 100 percent placement for its large PGDM-C and PGDM 2022-24 batch. Braving economic slowdown, MICA has registered only a marginal 4% dip in average salary which has gone down at Rs.19.21 LPA in Placement 2024 from Rs.20.09 LPA last year. MICA witnessed 70% increased in number of PPOs offered to its students from summer interships. 87 companies including 54 new recruiters participated in MICA placements 2024.
