Application process for admission at IIM Mumbai opens with the start of CAT registration process. Candidates have to apply for CAT by the last date. For admission 2025, IIM Mumbai may not ask for separate application submission for MBA Admission.
Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for MBA Operations & Supply Chain Management at IIM Mumbai is through CAT. The selection of the candidates for admission to the MBA OSCM at IIM Mumbai is a two-step process. In the first step, candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. Detailed Admission process is as below:
- The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for PI round which is conducted in many cities
- Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
- After the PI round, IIM Mumbai will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Mumbai to successful candidates.
- The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in PI round, academics, diversity, work experience among others
Admission offer letter would be sent to all successful candidates. Candidates, who are offered admission, need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities by the stipulated date.

You do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Mumbai Admission. After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Mumbai website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password and need to register for IIM Mumbai final selection process.
- Candidate should have Full-time Engineering/Technology degree in any branch from a recognized university/institution with aggregate 50% marks OR Full-time degree from a recognized university with aggregate 50% marks in one of following disciplines - M.Sc. (Mathematics)/M. Sc. (Statistics)/ Dual Degree (Maths and Computing) Minimum 5 yrs/ BS./B. Tech (Economics) Minimum 4 yrs.
- Students in the final year of above degree can also apply Provided they qualify the above criteria for examinations appeared till date and Complete their examination, viva voce etc, by the time of joining the Institute.
- Applicants should take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in order to apply for the above program.
IIM Mumbai Final Selection round consists of Personal Interview (PI). IIM Mumbai final selection will be made based on entrance exam score, academic performance, performance in the personal interview and prior work experience.
After preparing merit list based on above parameters, IIM Mumbai Final Admission Offer will be made to successful candidates. Finally selected candidates need to pay the first instalment of fees by the due date to secure their seat for IIM Mumbai MBA program
