IMI Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship program of IMI New Delhi. It prepares students for careers in industry, across functional areas. IMI Delhi PGDM program equips students with strong conceptual skills to manage businesses in an integrated manner. It develops versatile managers who are capable of handling responsibilities in different business domains.
IMI Delhi PGDM program duration is two years. IMI follows a trimester system and each program consists of six trimesters of 11-12 weeks duration. The academic calendar begins early July. IMI PGDM students are required to undergo a compulsory Summer Internship Program (SIP) at the end of the first year. The candidates seeking admission to IMI New Delhi PGDM programme must appear in CAT 2025 or XAT 2026 entrance exams.

IMI Delhi PGDM curriculum is spread over two years and is divided in six trimesters. The first three trimesters are devoted to developing understanding of basic concepts across different functional areas to provide an integrated learning experience to the students. This covers Core Compulsory courses across different functional areas of management including Marketing, Finance and Accounting, OB and HR, Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques, Information Management, Economics, Strategy & General Management.
The first year also consists of Core Elective courses which a student can choose based on his/her choice of specialization. A minimum of two Core Elective courses have to be chosen by the student in the domains he wishes to specialize. The following courses are offered in the first year.
Though this program is a general management program student can choose elective courses in their stream of specialization in the second year from the areas of Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy, Information Systems, Analytics (minor specialization).
On completion of the first year, all students are required to undergo a Summer Internship Program of 8 to 10 weeks duration.

Step 2 - Select IMI Campus: On this page you should choose IMI Delhi campus. If you wish to apply for IMI Kolkata and Bhubaneswar campuses also you need to select them also.
Step 3 - Fill Personal Details: The next step is to fill the source of information.
Step 4 - Fill Contact Details: On this page you need to fill your email id, mobile number permanent and correspondence address. Your e-mail id and mobile number should remain valid through the admission process
Step 5 - Fill Academic Qualifications: On this page you need to fill your educational qualifications from class 10 onwards and entrance exam details like CAT and XAT.
Step 6 - Fill Work Experience: On this page you should fill in your full time work experience earned after graduation.
Step 7 - Make Declaration: You need to fill Applicant name and date and click on the declaration. Without this the form will not be submitted
Step 8 - Make Payment: You need to make payment of IMI Delhi application fees of Rs. 2250 + GST for applying to IMI Delhi. Once the fees is submitted, your IMI Delhi Application process is complete.
IMI Delhi PGDM Admission eligibility criteria require:
- Applicant must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities), with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
- A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
- Apart from a recognized graduate degree, another key point in IMI Delhi eligibility criteria is that the candidate should appear in CAT or XAT or GMAT exams and must meet the required minimum cut offs.
- Candidates with Foreign Nationality are also eligible, based on their GMAT scores.
During IMI Delhi Selection Process, applicants are evaluated based on valid CAT/ XAT/GMAT scores, past academic performance, work experience and performance in the Video Assessment and personal interview. The selection process builds in a criterion that facilitates evaluating each applicant on:
A) Academic Abilities: Candidates with consistent academic background
B) Standardized Test Scores: Valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores are taken into consideration in the overall assessment
C) Video Interview and Personal Interview: The video Assessment before the final PI will test a candidate for their thought process and communication skills. Thereafter, shortlisted candidates from this round will go to the final PI process which aims to determine the suitability of the candidate for the programme. During the interview round, candidates are assessed on a number of parameters including general and business awareness, clarity of goals, attitude, people skills, communication skills, personal and extra-curricular/professional initiatives, etc.
