We are living in a VUCA World: Shri Piyush Goyal 
The world today is witnessing volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity — the “VUCA” world, said the Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal while addressing the Convocation Ceremony. Congratulating the graduating class of 2025, the Minister said India’s destiny lies in the capable hands of its youth to lead India towards Viksit Bharat 2047.

Xavier Aptitude Test, popularly known as XAT, is one of the top MBA entrance tests in India, and is a mandatory exam for XLRI Jamshedpur. As XAT is different from other exams like CAT, and also considered a more difficult paper, MBAUniverse.com reached out to XAT 2023 convener Professor Vishwa Ballabh to clarify on some popular “myths”.

Dr Debashis Chatterjee, the Director at IIM Kozhikode, needs no introduction. He is a well-known champion of gender diversity (IIMK was the first IIM to admit 53% women way back in 2013), and a staunch advocate of Indian wisdom. He set up the first ever Indian Business History Museum at IIM K with contributions from the top Indian business houses. Even before IIMK, Dr Chatterjee had made significant contributions as Dean IR, Chairperson-Placements and in many other roles, at IIM Lucknow, which he joined in 1996.

XAT 2023 (Xavier Aptitude Test-2023) Registration process is open from August 10, to November 30, 2022 with a registration and application fee of Rs.2000/- on XAT 2023 official website xatonline.in. XAT 2023 exam will be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI on January 8, 2023 in a single session.

Leading to MBA admission 2023 in all the 15 Symbiosis Management Institutes, SNAP 2022 exam will be held on three dates - December 10, 18 and 23, 2022. Only a few days are left to register and apply for SNAP exam as the last date of SNAP Registration process closes on November 24, 2022.  

Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur will conduct Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2023 on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Since XAT is conducted on the first or second Sunday of January every year, XLRI wouldn’t like to break the legacy of 70 years in convening the XAT 2022 also. XAT is the second largest MBA entrance exams in India with one lakh applicants applying for the exam every year.

The 2021 winners of Basant Kumar Birla Distinguished Research Scholar Awards for Social Science and Management disciplines have been announced by Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), the coordinator of this prestigious award. Based on the quality and number of research papers, published in higher-ranked journals during the past five years 2017 to 2021, Dr Sachin Kumar Mangla of Jindal Global Business School, O P Jindal Global University, Sonepat, Haryana has won the First prize of Rs. 300,000.

IIM Bangalore has opened the CAT 2022 registration process on August 3 for 45 days, three days after release of CAT Notification on July 31. The last date of CAT Registration closes on September 14, 2022. CAT exam will be held on November 27, 2022 in three slots of 2 hours duration each.

XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s top 10 B-schools, has appointed Prof Vishwa Ballabh as the Convenor of XAT 2023. XAT is the second largest MBA entrance exams leading to MBA/PGDM admission in 140+ B-schools in India. Expected exam date of XAT 2023 is January 8, 2023. Prof Vishwa Ballabh has held the responsibility of XAT Convenor for many previous years in past.

IIM Udaipur has appointed Prof Ashok Banerjee, faculty and former dean at IIM Calcutta, as its new Director. Prof Banerjee has taken over charge on August 1, 2022, and succeeds Prof Janat Shah, who has helmed the institute for 11 years, since its inception in 2011. Dr Shah’s second term came to an end recently.
