US, UK and France B-schools have retained their dominance in securing the top 10 positions in the 6th edition of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global Executive MBA (EMBA) Ranking 2022, administered by the QS World University Ranking Team and released on June 23, 2022. From India, IIM Bangalore, ISB and IIM Kozhikode are ranked in this survey. QS Global Executive MBA Ranking is evaluated on nine parameters which are grouped in five indicators on Career Progression, Diversity, Employer Reputation, Executive Profile, and Academic Reputation.

IIM Bangalore is expected to conduct CAT 2022 on November 27, 2022. This is the second time in last ten years that IIMB is conducting CAT exam. Earlier, IIM Bangalore last conducted CAT in 2016. Professor Ashis Mishra, faculty in Marketing Area and Chairperson Admissions at IIM Bangalore is expected to be the Convener of CAT 2022 exam. Last year IIM Ahmedabad conducted the CAT 2021 exam with many changes.

US B-schools, who participated in Economist MBA Ranking after a one-year break, dislodged European B-schools in a big way to seize the top ranks. Two-thirds of the top 50 B-schools in the Economist Rankings are American. This has led to massive changes in the ranking order. From India, only ISB and IIM Ahmedabad are ranked in this survey, with relatively low ranks.

IIM Bangalore welcomes largest MBA Batch
The inauguration ceremony for the new IIM Bangalore Batch 2025-27 that was held at the IIMB campus on 9 June 2025. On behalf of the institution, Prof. Kunal Dasgupta, Chairperson, Admissions & Financial Aid, and faculty in the Economics area, welcomed the students. He congratulated them on clearing “a long, rigorous, and highly competitive selection process.” Prof. Dasgupta shared that the 2025–27 cohort is IIMB’s largest ever, with a total of 622 students enrolled across the PGP and PGPBA programmes.
