After a long wait, IIM Bangalore will finally have the new Director. Boston Universitys Professor of Strategy and Innovation Dr. Sushil Vachani has joined as the Director of IIM B from July 1, 2014. Dr Vachani is IIT, IIM, Harvard Business School graduate, and has advised leading companies like BCG, Phillips and Tata Group.

As its fundraising and development efforts gain traction, IIM Ahmedabad, today, made its first announcement relating to support that has been committed by and agreed to with leaders in corporate and Government institutions. Put together, these collaborations will pool in over Rs. 16 crores to fund cutting-edge research and award scholarships to meritorious students.

An MOU with the aim to promote the research collaboration has been signed between Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China and IMS Ghaziabad. Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director - Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Ghaziabad has been nominated as Board Member of Asian branch of International Association of Social Quality.

During the International Conference, Research paper has been presented on Social Quality Forecaster of Quality of Life : An Empirical Case of Public Sector in India jointly by Dr. Urvashi Makkar and Dr. Rinku Sanjeev.

Adding a new feature of previewing the scores the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAT) announced on June 26, 2014 that Prospective business students taking the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) exam will now be able to preview their unofficial scores before deciding whether to report or cancel them. The score reporting feature is available to all test takers and will take effect at approximately 600 test centers around the world that administer the GMAT exam beginning on Friday, June 27, 2014
