FMS & IIMs short listing 2014: Implications will be different in FMS final admission list

The recently published shortlist of candidates for GDPI 2014 at FMS Delhi contains 2572 candidates in all categories against an intake of 216 in flagship full time MBA programme. An approximate ratio of 1:12 (12 candidates shortlisted for 1 seat) appears to have been fixed in short listing the candidates.

Even with 99+ CAT percentile I couldnt convert call to IIMs or any top B school

This is the shocking but true story of Prakhar Kumar (name changed to protect the identity of the candidate) who despite scoring a high percentile of 99.2 in CAT 2013 has not been able to convert a single IIM call. The candidate was happy on scoring such a high percentile but is quite upset with the final admission results published by IIMs and other top rated B schools and is in the vain hope of getting some solace if he could get a place in his desired B school after waiting lists are cleared. The only hope for him is now on FMS Delhi where he has to appear in GDPI on June 20, 2014.

FMS Delhi finally declares the shortlist for GDPI 2014

Better late than never could be the only proverb that may be used on declaration of short list of candidates by FMS Delhi for GDPI 2014 to be scheduled from June 20, 2014 onwards for MBA admission 2014.

At last FMS has declared short list of 2572 MBA aspirants for final admission round 2014 after a long wait and putting a stop on various speculations in management education circle. The list comprises 1218 General category candidates followed by 655 OBC; 367 SC and 182 ST candidates. Number of PH and CW candidates shortlisted for GDPI is 57 and 93 respectively.
