Logical Reasoning, if viewed in totality, plays a very important part in CAT Verbal Ability section. Out of 30 questions on VALR 10 are based on Logical Reasoning. If a candidate, however weak in Verbal and RC, prepares LR well he can score a sectional percentile as high as 60-70 in CAT 2014 with no share of answers from Verbal Ability. The irony however, is that the aspirants do not prefer preparing it the way they prepare the quant and Verbal. It might be due to the scattered or undefined syllabus which makes it difficult to systematically organise the study pattern of the aspirants.

Stepping out of MBA College into the corporate world is as similar as your transition from playing online cricket game and then playing it on the real field. The difference is huge!

21st Annual Convocation of FORE School of Management was celebrated on June 18, 2014 with Ms. Manisha Girotra, Chief Executive Officer, MOELIS & COMPANY, India delivering the Convocation address. CAT 2014 is expected to have 3 questions in Verbal Ability section on jumbled sentences to be formed in a coherent and meaningful paragraph. Core marks awarded for each question on jumbled paragraph are 3 and the 3 questions would carry 9 marks. When converted to percentile these 9 could become 20 meaning your percentile can go up by 20 if you attempted these questions a little cautiously and intelligently.

MBA, the only 2 years post graduate programme is full of so many USPs that apart from graduates from engineering, commerce, humanities, literature, pharma and medicine backgrounds, thousands of executives in reputed organizations aspire to pursue it. Entrance examinations like CAT/XAT fascinate the takers and they go on taking these tests to find their skill status. A few professors at IIMs still take CAT to know if there is any substantial change in the test.

The National Stock Exchange and Apeejay Stya University, Gurgaon signed an agreement on June 12, 2014 to launch a 5 years Integrated MBA course in financial markets. This number is roughly higher than previous years enrolment by about 20 per cent.
